Funny how the fights I analyzed that you are criticizing me for were fight that I got correct! I was also able to pretty perfectly assess Straus/Sandro, Aguilar/Fuji, Cavalcante/Kyle, Amoussou/Rickels...Once again, not an expert, but I possess a decent enough knowledge and have watched enough fights to evaluate fighter strengths and weaknesses. I just dont get your obsession with me.

It's really not hard to pick a fighter and write a VAGUE analysis to support your pick. But you can't even seem to do that without looking like the know nothing twerp you are.Comment -

#213Lol, you just regurgitate opinions from sherdog. If you had any clue about "standup" as you call it you would have never said "Cormier will cruise behind his jab" because in order to do that he would have to remain 7 inches on the inside of barnett's reach just landing jabs while somehow not getting hit or clinched, lol. The method to victory you claimed Cormier would take is pretty much impossible, notice how he didn't land one jab the whole fight genius. He barely even tried to throw it.

#214I also said in his other posts that the his superior hand speed gives him an advantage on the feet, and that his wrestling combined with athleticism would help him control the pace of the fight and where it takes place, which is accurate. You just seem to zone in on one point i made that wasnt exactly on point.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes.

Tavares really brought out the top level stuff. Looks like he just learned the double jab right hand and wanted to try it out, lord. I'll give it to him he really did mix it up with uhhh leg kick.
"Perfect stylistic matchup for tavares" lol. The whole analysis was shit and I pissed all over you.Comment -

#223Outlandish? Cormier is the faster, generally better boxer, which I pointed out. Just because he didn't land as many jabs as I thought, doesn't make the prediction outlandish, just partially inaccurate. It is NOT the same as saying Barry would land a headkick on Struve.Comment -

#224Tavares outstruck Yang in the first round. He landed more strikes, whether they be body kicks, straight rights or overhand rights. As expected, Yang landed the more powerful strikes, but they were in far less volume. In the second round, it was clear that the eye poke affected Tavares's vision, as he was rubbing it after EVERY exchange. In the thirs round, Yang gassed and practically threw no strikes. If it wasn't for the eye poke, which I can't forsee, Tavares probably would have won won all three rounds.
The answer to the first question is "lol".
The answer to the second question is "no". You made a square bet because the line closed around -135. (In fact it dropped right after you said to pound Tavares, lol).
I'm not sure you understand this, because you have only been capping for a few months. Once again, please read

#228You BIASED analysis aside, was Tavares the best value on the board as you claimed? Was Tavares even a good bet at -185?

Isn't it really funny you think you know so much about the things you are a relative novice at? And in the case of fighting, a complete outsider.
If it wasn't for the eye poke, the second round would have been closer. To me -135 is insane value. -185 was solid value.Comment -

#229It's because I'm talking to an idiot who has never fought before. I explained why it was nearly impossible for Cormier to accomplish what you said he would. You had no answer to that. You don't understand how stupid you actually sound, so I had to offer an analogy you might understand.

I just think we underestimated josh and josh is really that good.
I laugh at everyone that are ufc nut huggers, just because guys have done well outside the ufc doesn't mean they have foguht a drasticallly lower level of comp or are fighting 'c' 'b' level fights... Gil is still the man and a legit threat to anyone in the ufc. He had a rough night, hmmm his only rought fight in what... 6 matches???

#239so did mma mania, bloody elbow, mma weekly and everyone else watching the fight with me scored it correctly - first 3 rounds for gil, therefore 48-47 gil... I could see the argument for a 10-10 1st rnd, but no way josh got the 10-9 in any of the first three rounds therefore no way josh gets the decision, he gets a draw at best and even with a draw I disagree with and thankfully the majority of credible people seem to agree that gil got the 48-47 decision.
Very close fight, but I knew I was gonna hop on here today and see a bunch of haters lol...
Judges got it right, haters just were hoping to see us lose. In retrospect it was a stupid play paying gil SU and its a lesson learned, I def underestimated josh as I think many did and that was a tough fight for both men. Solid match, both guys are animals and very talented.Comment -

Solid night, 280 profit. That will be the first and last time I ever pay that kind of juice on a fighter SU, gil / thomspon was just too close and was def sweating. Did not expect it to be so competitive and even though I won I feel stupid for paying that juice... thaknfully the judges got it right and the decision went to gil. Funny the matches I bet the least on were the easiest wins of the night - always in hind sight!!!!
Congrats to the winners, especially cormier backers - I knew I should have gone with the trend here and taken him, but many of my friends were big on barnette and I just couldn't call that fight with any sort of confidence... but man, DC OWNED!!! Hopefully josh still goes to the ufc, he'd demolish a handful of guys at that weight class, they are in big need more talent imo..
Congrats to the winnersComment -
