Volkov had great combos. Saw a lot of improvement, he looked sharper than usual. He could be a contender.

Ngannou knocks his head off.. Struve is a goof and doesn't have big power. Volkov should have won this fight today if it stayed standing which it did...

Volkov gets lit up like a Christmas tree against Ngannou in my opinion though..

Yea I agree. It still would be an interesting fight. Who knows, maybe Volkov would do better than we'd think.

I've noticed the dog has hit, in the 1st fight of the night, at a very high percentage over the last 5 or so UFC cards.

Let's see if that trend holds true in the future.

Is that right? I remember last year there was a string of first fight dog hits as well.. Maybe that's a trend worth keeping track of..

I remember Thibault Gouti and Gray Maynard hitting big as dogs. Can't recall if a lot of dogs hit in Dana White's contender series.

That august layoff for Mayweather vs McGregor might have hit me harder than expected. lol

A lot of dogs did hit in the DWCS. But the first fight dog hitting I'm sure is just a coincidence. I can't think of any logical reason why that would be a trend.

Rinaldi vs Herrera was the first fight of UFC FN 114. Rinaldi was the favorite and won.

If you can put someone behind the 8 ball with a loss in the first game.

Sometimes you can make them emotional and they'll start chasing bad plays.

That's the potential house advantage of arranging a surprise underdog hit in the first fight of the night.

I remember Ketlen Vieira, Gray Maynard, Thibault Gouti and a few others although in hindsight its not as common as I was thinking it might be. August and the Conor vs Floyd sideshow screwed with my sense of time.

Good luck everyone. Thought about playing Holbrook and still thinking about Struve. This is it for now though.
    Card Total: 3-3, +1.54u

    YTD: 82-70, +20.85u

This card is the epitome of my MMA betting. I do well on favs and I stink at picking dogs. Simple as that.

At least I laid off Holbrook and Struve!
