I'd like to know exactly how Aldo cracked his rib? Did an aggressive training partner really hit him with a spinning kick? Did he hit a funny grappling angle? If one of his training partners did go heavy with a kick in sparring he should be kicked out of the gym and punished in a dark alley...

Agreed, Chad Mendes is a beast... After seeing him destroy Ricardo Lamas in his last fight and going to decision with Aldo in the rematch it's apparent Mendes is one tough cookie to crack right now...

I'd also say Mendes would destroy Frankie Edgar as well and probably knock him out cold..

It takes about a month for a mild hair line fractured rib to heal up.. I don't see how Aldo could show up to fight in just a little over 2 weeks time.. One good McConrad spinning back kick to that cracked rib and snap crackle pop.. Sharp bone fragments break off and pierce Aldo's heart.. Game over...

Fill in fighter needed for sure.... Frankie Edgar is my best guess to fill in at this point... They should put up a line for this...

With the line being so close with Aldo the champ one would think both Mendes or Edgar would both come in as slight dogs..

I'd say -

Mendes +135 and Edgar +155 if I had to guess. I'd slam either dog hard for big money... Mendes or Edgar would probably grapple fock McIrish to death.. Mendes might just knock him out standing as well....
