breakdown:

sai vs lipeng: both are very physical fighters. liping prefers to wrestle, but sai has a massive striking advantage. sai should win this pretty easily. sai -200 would be a clear play.

guangyou vs jianping: striker vs jiujitsu. jianping struggled with a 125'er, and guangyou's TDD hasn't been tested. id play either at +200 pretty easily.

cheng vs wang: cheng is about as close to a one dimensional wrestler as it gets in mma. wang isn't anything special. i'd take either at +200.

ediva vs teurxun: ediva is 5-0, but only one of those 5 opponents has a win on their record. teurxun -400.

mina vs cummings: cummings isn't great, but he's fought the vastly superior opposition. cummings -250

nam vs tokudome: tokudome looked solid against parke, but nam is a different animal. nam -200.

phan vs lee: lee is live, but phan should take this. expect phan to be overpriced in the -250 range. stay away.

hioki vs menjivar: hioki better than menjivar in every aspect of mma, plus he's got homefield advantage. hioki -250.

jordan vs mitrione: mitrione takes it via patience and leg kicks. -180

This looks like a great card. Can't wait for this one. It is almost like the UFC is trying to lose customers instead of attracting them. I know Dana u like to say "how can u say it is a bad card when u haven't watched it yet"? Because it is a bunch of no name scrubs that is how.

Nam is the #1 fighter in korea not in the ufc. if you aren't hyped to see him after he handled takasuke kume i don't know what to tell you.

those two alone on the prelims make the card worthwhile.

UFC 170 was a huge card for me as far as the amount i bet goes. This will probably be the opposite. I'm looking at a couple fights depending on the odds and even if they are in my range i will be going smaller on these. UFN 38 will be back to my normal degen like card!!

My Kensey-inspired model of blacks > whites > asians has been rendered useless for this card.

All this yellow-on-yellow violence is a wash; I guess I'll just take the +money, all microhogs being held equal.

The only fight I thought I could apply the model to would be the main event. I dunno maybe I'm reading too much into it but while an Englishman by rule trumps an Asian, I feel it's a trap bet considering Kim's proud parents brashly named him Dong...

Yeah we use to debate this back in the day on an old rec of a boxing forum. It was frown upon to break down the fights that had yet to have lines released on. I def. Appreciated the breakdown as I wont have the time to put into this card BUT I thought the same thing.
