I was really impressed with Trujillo in his past couple of fights, but I still think Nurmagomedov is a solid play tomorrow. His high paced, super aggressive style will be too much for Trujillo. I honestly was hoping they would put Abel against someone that was a little less versed/experienced. Seems a bit too early to be testing him against the Russian standout. I think Khabib dominates for most of the fight and gets a finish late 2nd or mid 3rd round via submission or TKO ref stoppage. Any opinions/input much appreciated.

#2I wouldnt do it at those odds. Nurma has been great but a bit deceiving IMO...its not like he knocked out a granite chin last fight .Comment -

#11"the killa" really ain't killed no one in real life has he so only a douchebag would want a name like a "killa" now unless he's been in a war he's a douche in my book. Besides he's overrated he's fought no one he's got lots of upper body mass he will gas out by the second round he's going to be tired and won't be able to keep up with khabib's pace. He'll be tired by the time he gets to the cage these types of bodybuilder fighters only have explosive power for short periods of time, he'll be swamped by khabib's game then he'll just fall into a trap. He "the killa" doesn't have fight iq, he's emotional and only dangerous for short periods of time.Comment -

#12Really appreciate everyone's input here. I actually decided to put a rather large bet on Khabib here. I don't see Abel winning this fight more than 1/3. Bad matchup for Abel here IMO, have to go with my gut. Good luck to everyone.Comment -

#14I just finished watching footage on the fight, and I think it's an incredibly square bet at current odds. Nurmagomedov has awful takedowns and pretty bad striking, if he wins it's going to be through sheer aggression, and Trujillo throws a lot of strikes when he's pinned against the fence.
Smarterthanu, why do you think Trujillo is going to gas? He showed outstanding cardio in the Levesseur fight.
Trujillo is a fantastic play here. Even if you don't think so, I do think that Khabib at those odds is awful.Comment -

#15MOST guys like him do gas but lets be real....this is no Kevin Casey in the ring.....Abel is not just some overmuscled freak here.....MF'er is in AMAZING fighting shape....if he can keep this on the feet...there is no way nurm is just gonna roll over him.....I don't know why but I think his strength will really come into play hereComment -

#16and after the "incident" at the weigh ins i think the killa will have some extra incentive to hurt his opponent and he always throws with bad intentions.Comment -

#26Pretty easy win here. Didn't go down exactly how I thought it would but Khabib learned very early on that he could man handle Trujillo on the ground and fought a pretty safe fight. Would have been interesting to see how things would have panned out had he decided to stand and trade a little bit. Would have made for a more exciting product, but I'm happy with the result regardless. I stand by part of my original analysis on this fight - I don't think Abel had much of a chance here and it showed. Congrats to everyone who cashed on this and good luck with the rest of the card.Comment -

#32To say that someone with no more than average tdd will not get taken down AT ALL by one of the better grapplers in the UFC is moronic. We do all lose bets, I agree, but you can't guarantee that someone will not be taken down a single time against someone like Nurmagomedov.Comment -

#33Also, how did my post in regards to Martin's suggest I was ALL OVER him? I simply stated from what I saw he had good footwork and hands and that I thought he would finish... which he did. Why the vendetta against me brotha?Comment -

#34By what definition does Trujillo have "no more than average" TDD? Because it's certainly not statistically, and it certainly isn't based on his first UFC fight.
No vendetta, I just find it ridiculous when people mock others for their wagers as if they've never lost.Comment -

#35I did not mock the wager, I mocked the fact he said and then repeated that Nurmagomedov would not take down Trujillo at all. That's a ridiculous statement. I'm sure you agree.Comment
