ok since this is my thread and im explaining to you how i do do my wagering,why would i try and fix anything,unless you can point out a better way of betting...basically,the nba,nfl are almost impossible to bet on with a point spread,lost alot of money 10 years ago,so if you eliminate the spread,youve got moneyline,the thing is,when your picking the teams i do,you end up -350 and up,so you have to risk alot when your betting big money,and i dont wana risk 6times my money on a nightly basis,doing it this way,if you can pick winners at a high percentage,you dont have to lay down so much and can always hedge in the end....so lets hear a better way of doing it md...im all ears

what they are making fun of you for is the fact that you could just bet all of your money on GSP straight up while paying less juice and taking less risks (Assuming GSP is a lock)than your hedging scenario. 20,000 down on a -470= 4255.32 your 20k hedge to win 10k minus the 5714 if diaz does indeed lose is 4286. But then you have to go back and count up all those losses you took on houston and san antonio, which were quite substantial hits if you bet 500-1000 on each of these types of two team wonders.Simply put, unless you won 100 percent of your wagers, a few losses with juice that high will destroy your bankroll. You are screwing yourself by taking more risks and paying similar juice with parlays with the intention to hedge anyway. So why not just let it all ride on GSP in the first place if that is your go to bet?

Say you get into a scenario where you lose enough of these first legs of your parlays to where hedging for a profit is out of the window, and all you can hedge is for a loss. You decide not to hedge because you still want to make a profit, so you end up with 20 k on GSP to make about 4k for example. Because you placed 20 bets for 1000 and lost 4 of them. You now have 16000 on GSP to win 8000, but you have to take away 4000 from your profits because you lost 4000 betting the NBA. This math includes 1k bets. You bet on 20 bets that had an 80 percent chance of winning so you lost 4 out of the 20. Now you decide to let it ride on GSP because otherwise hedging will cost you money. In this scenario you have GSP for 20k at -500 odds. If GSP doesn't win you're fuked. And if he does win you paid a lot more juice and went through a lot more trouble than you needed to.

Just bet the 10 000 on GSP, save yourself the juice.
