what is that 7 arm bars in a row in the first round? Oddsmakers need to just set the line as- will RR get the arm bar in the first round -180 vs any other round +160

Well obviously the goal is to not be on the ground with Ronda, which is why I couldn't understand why she wanted to stay there. WTF does Sherdog have to do with anything? Liz had more than ample time to get to her feet, but chose to lay on her back.

If you think people get armbarred by Ronda because the fight hits the ground, you don't understand grappling, and if you think Carmouche could have just rushed to her feet without getting clinched and risking a throw, you don't understand positioning. Being on your back is a more desirable position to being in Rousey's clinch, I can assure you.

10 arm bar finishes in the first round in a row if you count her 3 amateur fights.

Bad matchmaking. If you keep putting a guy like Dan in there with wrestlers like Lyoto, Shogun and that guy who Stout just beat, he's going to be hesitant to use his striking. Look at the first round. He had Lyoto cowering in fear, absolutely pissing himself, then when Dan came in to KO him, Lyoto panicked and took Dan down.

Liz's strength in this fight was on the feet(Or in top position delivering G N' P), not being down where Rousey's strength is. I understand what you are saying, but I highly doubt that keeping the fight down on the mat was part of Liz's strategy going into this fight. She was laying down there like a BJJ Black Belt almost inviting Rousey to come down into her world.

I am just saying Ronda backed up when she got up and Liz just decided to stay there flat on her back, she didn't have to rush to do anything, there was plenty of time to get up and establish herself on her feet.

I am not saying I know everything, I was just saying that during the fight I was very surprised that Liz had a chance to get back up to her feet and she decided to stay on the canvass. To me it just didn't seem like the right move because it was a given that Rousey was going to get back on top of her at some point if she stayed there.

I agree with you, actually. Ronda was still trying to recover from her face being smashed and her neck being twisted. It was a weird decision to me too.

And Machida IMO took Dan down right at the end of the first to steal the round, which he did. I don't think he was scared. He fought tonight basically the same way that he does in every fight. It just depends on what kind of fight that his opponent brings to him.
