I meant Condit by KO. I think that's just about the only way he wins; I'm playing the GSP by decision prop, as I said earlier.
Also, I agree that the Condit/Diaz fight was close. I don't agree that only "Diaz nuthuggers" thought he won, though. I thought he took two very clear rounds, lost two very clear rounds, and won a reasonably close round. Everyone has an opinion on that fight, though, so it doesn't really matter what I think.Last edited by MD; 11-13-12, 12:25 PM.Comment -

The fact that Twitter and the entire MMA community was in uproar over the robbery makes it pretty clear that it was not only in my eyes... idiot.
And if I were such a Diaz nuthugger, I wouldn't have bet Cerrone over Nate. Fool.Comment -

#52I thought Diaz edged it myself but this was one of those fights where people were more mad about Condit's approach to the fight. Sherdog had it for Condit http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/UFC...aybyPlay-39067Last edited by Thor4140; 11-13-12, 06:20 PM.Comment -

#53U calling anyone stupid is comedy relief at its finest. In your warped word of reality u actually believe if you call someone stupid than u must be brighter. I better watch what i say to you. U might be one of those guys that runs to the moderator when your feelings get hurt. I don't see Defact here anymore so it looks like I may be right.Comment -

#55Absolutely love this bet. Can definitely see St. Pierre taking his usual conservative route, especially the situation he's in. I'm floored at how much value your getting out of Condit by decision. Is it really that far fetched that e could win in that fashion? I for one don't think it should be valued like that. I'll take it though.Comment -

#56Really? I mean I can see GSP wanting to come out and make an impression but I just see this type of game plan playing right into how Condit would want it to play out. I See GSP being able to implement his usual gameplan of getting the takedowns, control from on top, and just staying on the defensive to not allow Condit to make anything happen from bottom. I mean personally, I'd love to see Condit knockout GSP and shake up the welterweight division but GSP is champ and has been champ for so long for a reason. Guy is top flight when it comes to implementing a gameplan. Even if it is boring as hell. I just cannot see GSP finishing Condit via strikes. I'd lean more towards a submission if GSP is going to finish the fight within the distance but i still see a decision victory from gsp if anything.Comment -

#57For some background, it's a karate technique called "yamazuki". It's more traditional karate than anything, so you won't see it very often, because modern karate is more intended for sport; even the guys who use "serious" karate (Gunnar Nelson, for example), don't use styles that integrate this kind of technique; it's used in kata a lot.Last edited by MD; 11-13-12, 07:27 PM.Comment -

Even though at times GSP appears to take offense to some criticisms during interviews, come fight time he will always do what he, and his coaches think is the safest route to getting his hand raised. If he attempts to finish Condit at all it will be via submission.Comment -

#65It is incredible how most of the fighters haven't learn from this. Than we have other guys who fall into that trap Dana lay's out there where they just want to make him happy while getting brain damage in the process. Another thing is the way GSP feeds into that home town crowd advantage. Lots of fighters choke up and crumble but with him you can actually tell how well he feeds into it. That crowd will be in a frenzy Saturday night when they announce his name. He is carrying this card. I think the next two free ones are much better than this one.Last edited by Thor4140; 11-14-12, 07:43 AM.Comment -

#66what do you guys think of the Riddle Mcguire fight? I think Riddle is a stiff but i think Mcquire should be fighting at 155. Mcguire looked awful his last fight but Riddle is a whole different caliber of a fighter than Hathaway was. Interested to see this line. Maybe 120 Riddle.Comment -

#68Guys Paddy Power will refund any losing bet on the GSP fight if the fight ends in submission. I know that's probably the least likely method of victory but still it eliminates 1 variable.Comment -

#70Unless MAguire is dog I won't even consider playing him even though he's facing a dope like Riddle. If it was anybody other than Riddle (like even Yousef) I'd of probably faded Maguire here. Maguire is not one of these fighters who stays in amazing shape all year round, shall we say he likes to "indulge" after fights, and even more so after the last one as he was very depressed about how he performed in tht fight. Riddle on other hand is already close to the weight (he was 176 a week or 2 ago). Obviously that poor performance is also what has motivated Maguire to take this fight on short notice as he wants to make up for that performance. He's also got to deal with the jetlag for first time, furthest he's fought from home before was Russia. I'll probably stay away from this one and just cheer on my fellow butter-toothed Brit!Last edited by Vaughany; 11-14-12, 09:01 AM.Comment
