DEX/DeFi tutorial for trading on a DEX.
Tutorial to trade for Honeyland HXD on Raydium DEX.

Download a Phantom wallet. It should be included in Brave browsers.

Go to Coingecko to search for a token. Using Honeyland HXD. Select Markets and copy contract for future use. Use the Raydium market with Sol. You want to click on that HXD/SOL

The Raydium exchange will pop-up. It will ask to connect to your wallet. Click connect to wallet. Then click that drop down to switch from RAY to HXD.

After clicking the drop down tab a new screen appears to paste the contract address. HXD will appear, click on that.

Swap for the amount of HXD. The fee shows and it's a penny or so. If it's going to be more something in red will show such as "price impact". Then you can determine if you want to go through with it.

After the tokens are in your wallet, future swaps can be done within your phantom wallet and the wallet will look at multiple exchanges. It works the same for ETH tokens on Uniswap or ADA tokens on Gero. All the tokens have multiple exchanges that you can use.

Posted just in case someone hasn't used a DEX.

It says Raydium is not accessible for US. is it safe to use a VPN for it?

Strange, I use from US and just tried again and it was fine. ORCA I do need a VPN.

It lets me access the site but internet searches are saying it’s not available to the US. Maybe a recent change?

Also notice on Kraken it lists Ray coin however it won’t let you buy it. Are there any exchanges in the US that allows you to buy the coin? Looks like it 4x this year for a nice return

You can go to your phantom wallet. Scroll down to manage token list to add a token. Use this contract. 3dgCCb15HMQSA4Pn3Tfii5vRk7aRqTH95LJjxzsG 2Mug If you are able to add the token then you can swap in your wallet. The wallet automatically checks Raydium, Orca and Jupiter for the best price. Remember to always leave SOL in your wallet to do swaps but it's less than a penny a lot of times.

You can find contract here https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/honeyland

Maybe it was a recent change, not sure. I have all the tokens in my wallet already so do swaps there but will check next time I get something new with Raydium.

Sometimes Phantom won't list the token until you swap in a DEX. Then you do need to sawp with Raydium, ORCA or Jupiter and the DEX will add it to your wallet.

Always get contracts from Coingecko or Coinmarketcap and never give out seed phrase. Lots of scams especially on the socials.

wombat - I don't know if you've had any luck but at times even if a token is not listed on markets at Coinmarketcap for ORCA, the token can still be traded at ORCA if you go there and plug in the contract address. With ORCA you do have to use a VPN but should be able to trade.

I know how much of a pain it was the first time that I used Metamask and Uniswap. If you have any questions, fire away. I'll open a test wallet and see what works without coins in the wallet.

                                      JUP is also available

limit orders, stop-loss and leverage trading on Jup.ag. Definitely wouldn't trade on leverage but it is available.
