It's taking forever for a transaction to compete when I deposit.
Pending forever.

What exchange/wallet are you using, and which sportsbook? Pretty sure it's like that for the whole bitcoin network right now - at least you've gotten your deposit in transit to the book though, I'm still waiting for my Coinbase funds to finish transferring to my blockchain wallet, and I sent them a little after 7:00 pm last night! To give them a little credit they do have messages on their site informing of possible delays from so many people making last min transactions (probably all withdrawing to another wallet since Coinbase has already said they're not supporting BCC yet). But my transfer was well over 12 hrs ago and still waiting! Was hoping to get one more deposit in before all this fork splitting madness, but looking like I may have to wait until after Aug 1st, if your deposit delay is any indication of slow processing with the books as well!
Does anybody have any advice for those of us in similar situations with stuck transactions? Will a transaction eventually cancel if not processed within a certain timeframe (like a stop-payment or something) or is it pretty much just stuck in cyber limbo since it's a specific address and can't be used again on the chain? I assume it's probably just a waiting game where we have to just wait for the queues of transactions the finish clearing?
Any insight and advice would be greatly appreciated!

The entire blockchain's massively congested right now, owing to Bitcoin's upcoming hard fork on Tuesday.
That, combined with the fact that everywhere has upped the amount of confirmations required because hard forks can be hacked, is why you're experiencing delays.
PS: If you're depositing to a BTC only sportsbook, you're making a huge mistake (see other threads on the hard fork).

The good news is the blockchain has a failsafe built into it, so if a transaction doesn't confirm within a certain time frame, the transaction's automatically cancelled and the BTC reverts back to the sender's account. The bad news is that time frame isn't static. It's fluid, depending on factors like the blockchain's congestion vs current hashrate the available miners are working at, but it usually takes days to cancel.
(Obviously, you definitely want your BTC out of Coinbase before Tuesday morning).

Am I screwed? I am attempting to load BookMaker and 5Dimes for Football Season. I just moved $9000 of BTC from CoinBase to BTC to AirBitz; however, it's taking a very long time. I plan on splitting that between BM & 5D.
Am I screwed?

It took 24hours a few days ago. I assume the money I deposited will take about a day to go through again

Don't worry, you're not screwed. If your BTC's entirely at Airbitz, you're already fine. But it'd easier for you to get your BCC, the new coin that's being hard forked from BTC on Tuesday, if you move your BTC from Airbitz to any of these 4 exchanges by Monday night: Bitfinex, Kraken, Gemini, Bittrex. Of those 4, Bittrex and Bitfinex are my faves, but they're all well capitalized, well respected exchanges.
The reason I say it's probably easier is that this whole "hard fork on Tues" thing came up so fast that nobody knows exactly HOW to claim for their BCC yet. So why not let the exchanges do the schlepping? That way you can just sit back and wait till a bunch of BCC parachutes into your account.

My Coinbase transfer finally finished processing and in my blockchain wallet a little while ago! Now we'll see how long it takes for my deposit from blockchain to process to my sportsbook - not very encouraging that I wasn't able to choose priority option for the fee when processing the deposit though, they have it locked in to the regular 1 hr+ option and won't allow change (priority is always much faster and well worth couple extra dollars). I suppose that's expected with the network essentially jammed and back-logged with who knows how many countless transactions waiting for confirmations! Just really hope it doesn't take 24 hrs like yours did, losing out on potential profits waiting to get some action on these games today!
Thanks for responding MeanPeopleSuck, you've done so much the past several days helping inform and educate everyone here exactly what's shaking down in the Bitcoin crypto universe! I know the stance Coinbase is taking regarding the fork and was sure to transfer the entire balance to blockchain! And I thought I remembered reading about that inherent fail proof safety being one of the major draws to Bitcoin when I first started studying it in depth earlier this year, just had no clue exactly what happens in the network/blockchain or how long it took to trigger a cancelled transaction like that!
Major props for all the hard work and helpful insight you continue to selflessly offer, I know I'm certainly not the only one sincerely appreciative and indebted to your gratitude - keep up the amazing job, and thanks again for all you do my friend!

Not screwed.
Should still be time to complete all the transfers.
And if you don't get it into the books before Aug 1, I'd say the network will be low volume and back to quicker transfers by Aug 2.
Your main risk is if the bottom falls out of the bitcoin market on Aug 1... but that is looking unlikely for now.

mean thanks for all this great info.
Quesiton
On this BITTREX if a person gets a new account to get ready for the FORK and say move out of coinbase to this BITTREX exchange they can get the new coins. OK but then i think what you are saying is after the fork under Wallets (click Wallets) then under Account Balances another new currency will be listed (they list 10 right now Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, etc etc but there will be a new one making 11 listed) and some coins will appear there based on how many bitcoins you have in the exchange at time of Fork.
Can you give us a quick tutorial ABC BITTREX that you like the most, if a person wanted to do something right away with the new coins after seeing them appear, anything to get rid of them what can they do, trade them for another coin, if so how?, trade for money? send them to some merchant taking the new coin, who might that even be?
What exactly can we do and do fast? without pressing wrong buttons! The site looks complicated.
if one thinks that value will drop fast and just want to trade them for a different coin value to grab something even if its $100 a coin how do you do that, what do you click?
can you step through ABC's
OR
If a cusotmer really thinks (willing to gamble) it will drop to low numbers in first week, how do you set up a put or a call to perhaps make quite a bit on a large drop . seems like that is in this exchange looking around, but hard to figure it out being brand new.

BCH will be listed on Bittrex. Under wallets, your account will show a BCH balance. Then go to markets. BCH will be paired with BTC meaning that you can trade BCH for BTC.

It sounds like you have a good idea about what will happen TryTryTry.
I don't know the clicks to make. But it should be pretty much as you describe I think.
And you should be able to go to the public exchange and offer those BCC coins for sale as soon as you get them. How much you get will depend if everyone else does the same thing or not. And if people want to buy them of course.

I forgot and just tried to cash out of Fairlay back to my Blockchain wallet. Nothing has happened yet (other than Fairlay showing the deduction). But, it hasn't been that long and I figured the network is jammed. Anyway, with a couple of days left, hopefully, there won't be any problems getting my BTC back into Blockchain.
