#2I saw a stat. Don't know if it's true. Probably is I'm thinking.
If you'd bought Bitcoin in 2005 or was it 2015 by investing 1000 dollars, you would have hundreds of millions today. It might have even said over a billion. ?
Any truth to it. ?Comment -

*Bitcoin was released in 2009. I believe the 1st block was 1/3/2009. So, not around in 2005.
*It started out incredibly low. I've posted this video b4. This Youtuber (Davinci) is credited with posting the first Bitcoin investment video. Price in 2013 was < $1.00.
...So, that growth rate would be 98,000x. If he bought 10 BTC for $10, that would almost $1.0Mill now.
To my knowledge, this video is legit (unless he hopped in a time machine):

#5I watched his video. Don't think it's very good. He's not picking up on BTC being in the midst of a bull-run.
There is a chance that MSTR is overvalued at the moment. The rise has been very frothy. Hard to continue that.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#7About $30 was when a wider audience got interested. So $300 worth then would be a million now.
My cousin had a first birthday event for his first child and I was thinking of giving the kid a bitcoin in a paper wallet. But the ridicule I would have gotten from some family made me decide not to.
I remember it made a run from $30 up to $100... and I thought I had missed the boat lol.Comment -

#92013 video when BTC hit $100:
...Credit to the analyst. (1:10) He mentions risk of debt and currency crisis.
...(1:24) Pento still hates Bitcoin. He might be in the Peter Schiff Gold-bug camp.
...(2:24) Pento again exposes himself. He talks of "phony Bitcoin." Whole point of the Bitcoin network is that transactions are confirmed on an immutable ledger.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

I expect that TO COME BACK. Vendors will surely want to ACQUIRE Bitcoin.
Ver makes the point that BTC as a Medium of Exchange mostly failed. BTC is mostly useful as a Store of Value (imho). Vendor use should return, but I don't think people will use it for everyday purchases.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#27Three trends that I'm seeing in the market. Just my opinion, not financial advice:
1) MSTR price is coming under a lot of scrutiny.
...Has made substantial gains. Is the current price too high?
2) Companies likes SMLF (Semler Scientific) are matching the MSTR strategy of putting Bitcoin on the Balance Sheet.
...But the approach appears to be less complicated than the MSTR approach.
3) The Bitcoin ETFs don't appear to be as popular as one might expect.
...This isn't that surprising to me. Bitcoin is designed to be self-sovereign-ed. ETF purchase relies on third-party.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

*Ver had the legal problems right after this interview.
*Ver is the type of guy who speaks his mind. Doesn't consider the ramifications to himself too much.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#33Biden's doing a lot of things to hurt Trump going forward. Trump wants a Bitcoin Reserve, Peace in Ukraine and for Federal Workers to start working at the workplace, not at home.
So Biden wants to sell Bitcoin, gives money and missiles to Ukraine that were used to shoot into Russia and signs an order to allow Federal workers to work from home.
I have to stop thinking about this political stuff. I'm in a great mood thinking about bitcoin and then it's smashed thinking about the political garbage.
Thousands Of US Government Employees Get WFH Deal Ahead Of Trump
The new deal, signed by President Joe Biden's just-departed SSA Commissioner Martin O'Malley, will let workers "maintain current levels of telework," AFGE chapter president Rich Couture wrote.

and sorry for off topic, needed to vent.
But I agree with your post. Biden is now a lame-duck. Is he trying to sabotage the Trump regime?
I'm not very political. But it's something I've noticed after the Trump victory in 2016 and again in 2024. The Dems are just devastated by the idea that this guy could win the election 2x.
Here's an idea: *Develop a better candidate who can win an election. Harris should have been able to build a voting constituency. She looked worse and worse as Election Day approached.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment
