On some videos, this time period is called the "Accumulation" phase. Historically, I think the trend can tick up by going concave up.

too many ppl out there are old enough to remember when it hit $67K in late 2021 so they are still spooked.

i am just saying that we are still 25%+ away from the ATH.

This guy (Luke Mikic) is pretty good. He points out the FASB rule change which allows companies to recognize the Fair Market Value of Bitcoin. Tells me that they view BTC as a real liquid asset.

DCA is nice because you don't outsmart yourself. Here's theory if I'm adding to crypto. Zoom your chart out to one year. If you see it going straight up, don't add even if you miss out. It could go straight down. But it could also flatten out which is best for us. It's time to add more. If it flattens out, then the minnows feed the sharks and it doesn't scare the retail investors away. A big dump and it'll scare some new retail investors in FOMO mode. One huge dump and the new guys run or guys on the sidelines don't jump in. Normally the whales are smart enough not to ruin it long term.

With all that said, it really doesn't matter if you add right now because you don't want to miss out. You'll make it back.

You see it with small caps all the time. Smart whales don't dump all at once. They'll do it slowly so as not to ruin it. Retail investors will keep coming in as long as someone doesn't kill the market. Whales get the nice price dumping slowly.

That guy made some interesting points about rules changing soon to make it more attractive for corporations to hold bitcoin as a treasury asset among some other stuff about how corporations might act.

Answer: because it is still considered a "risky asset" and when stocks sell off then Bittie sells off.

One thing to mention these big OTC trades don't immediately move the market. Coinbase has an OTC desk and exchange. Only the trades on the exchanges move the market immediately.

Got a little bump going on. $51,034. A bump in the middle of the night used to mean Asian action but I'm not sure about that anymore.

Bitcoin closing in on 1T market cap all by its lonesome. Total market cap @ 1.88T.

This space may be changing. Bull and bear markets might not be so distinctive any more.....

As the resident hodler around here, I'm just staying put for now. When I feel the time is right, I will dump all my underperformers and turn to a stablecoin instead.

BTC, ETH, Monero, Tron and CRO all long term holds and will only sell if I have to. Everything else will be given a chance to pick up in the months ahead and sold off when the time seems right.

I'm very leery of a black swan event especially in an election year so it may pay to stay on your toes....

Arky, props to all your info. When you say Black Swan event...

1) You mean to the downside?
2) Or to the high side?

I could see it to the HIGH side, as Fiat currency is exposed. I'm not sure about the downside, unless you're saying all internet access might be blocked.

Have faith. Don't worry, we've been waiting 2 years for this. There will be pull backs but 2024 is going to be a great year.

1. BTC goes up, stock market goes up. People say BTC follows stock market.
2. BTC goes up, stock market goes down. People say hedge vs. stock market.
3. BTC goes up, inflation goes up. People say hedge vs. inflation.

The only thing we know, BTC goes up.

Don't worry about the last crash. We all gave a little back trying to extend it. Left a bad taste in the mouth of the people that jumped in very late last bull run and missed out. 2025 is when you have to start thinking. If it went back down to $40k, I wouldn't blink right now.
