the founder / creator has said in general about crypto - to be useful as everyday currency, the price must be stable

LOL How in the world would they even determine what price to use to tax the unrealized gains?

Would they just pull a random date and time to use for taxing people? The price is changing every second!

That's funny because I talked with Cigna today inquiring about international health insurance in case I decide to reside in a different country. Also looked up information on how safe it is to live in different cities around the world.

Mike you are posting this stuff in "real time" instead of waiting until after the price has moved both ways. So I am inclined to believe you. and I'm glad you are making money! My only question is this: When the price was around $42K and then tanked down to $31K, did you not buy a bunch after it had dropped to say.. $38K from $42K? And then therefore it didn't work, and instead the "buy the dips" strategy would have lost huge, and you'd be holding coin that you bought at $38k!! I hope you didn't lose, but I'm just asking.... Have you not only done it several times here lately when the "buy the dip" strategy worked, but you also DID NOT buy the dip from $42K to $38K when it WOULDN'T have worked?

Eheh, I'm serious. I've been looking into it. I'm just 5½ hrs from Mexico and don't have much family. This country is going down the tubes. I'd rather stay here and fight but I don't see much resistance to the incoming technocracy and further separation between the haves and have-nots....

The USA is one of only two countries (Eritrea is the other) that can tax their ex-pats. Doesn't matter where on the globe you live, as long as you're a US citizen, Uncle Sam wants your tax money. What I gather from some ex-pats is that this is not enforced.... Most just don't pay anything.

Looking into Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico.... Mexico would be the easiest to pull off.... The media would have you believe Mexico is just a bunch of gangs and cartels. Not so, they exist of course but that's not the side of town to set up shop. Some areas are very nice. Both coasts (Gulf & Pacific) are loaded with 5-star hotels..

Check out Belize. I own a home there. Real estate is cheap. No annual property tax. English is their first language. Second biggest barrier reef in the world. Awesome fishing.

i posted that i was buying at every 2000 chunk down (38,400/36,400/34,400/32,400) and then selling on the way back up... and those buys were just rebuys of stuff i sold in the 39000s so i didn't lose on anything

so it DID work, i sold all of those chunks at least one more time (other than the 38,400) on the run back up to 40k, and then rebought

Oh crap mikey, i just looked at the chart and it DID bounce back up to $40K. It hasn't bounced back up SINCE

Yes anybody who is now looking to profit from crypto, instead of using it, then they want all of it they can get

to be taken off the exchange and just "held" instead of traded. Just like a stock, if you see a stock that a bunch

of the float is held by institutions, then that is a good thing.

i think everyone should be accumulating gold, silver, and bitcoin (eth also)

keep buying an amount you can afford every week/month, that way you're never stuck at the top

a lot of people say no more than 1-2% in btc, i disagree with that, it all depends on how young you are and future earnings potential... no problem with a younger person having 10% gold, 10% silver, 10% btc... they could always earn back what is lost

Just pointing out the facts why Crypto is beginning to tank. This is a bitcoin thread. I can care less about Trump or Biden. I watch the markets and as to why they peak or dip.

This wiped out a ton of jobs here in America for starters almost over night and gonna raise gas prices at the pumps.
