I'm hearing the high fees are because of these Ordinals. Hoping this trend passes soon and we can send transactions with a fee of 2-10 cents (even if it has to confirm in the middle of the night) again

#7914Im hearing that bitcoin is a garbage product that is too expensive and slow. It won't even exist in a few more weeks. Seriously why would anybody use bitcoin? Its faster and cheaper to send a check in the mail than it is to transfer bitcoin.Comment -

do you see this as the main issue with BTC or do you believe the volatility and any other reasons are bigger than the convenience and speed aspect?Comment -

#7919If anyone is interested in AMZ. Presale ends soon... But my BTC transfer seems like it's stuck. Sigh
Should've done this long time ago before the bullshit.

#7920Why do you guys keep responding to Mike78?
The guy is barely even trying and you all line up to walk right into his trap over and over again.
His effort to results ratio is exponentially in his favor. He's on autopilot yet gets boatloads of replies.
You're all getting clowned by a glorified bot.Comment -

#7925"bitcoin was supposed to..."
1) Be anonymous
2) Replace cr cards
3) Used for everyday transactions
4) etc etc
Oh yeah, says who? When did they say that was SUPPOSED to be what it was designed for?
And you saying it, or reading some other clown saying it, doesn't count.
And more important, it hasn't been any of those things for the first 13 years of it's existence but you think it's a problem now!? You're bereft of logic as well as knowledge if you are saying these things are some sort of problem.
Regulation or global disaster is the biggest risk to value, and regulators can't stop it long term anyway. There is a big world outside the US govt officials..Comment -

#7926Great post, Opti. Makes one think.
If you zoom out, I think Bitcoin is doing fine. The volatility scares some off, which can leave it in (mostly) strong hands.
The adoption curve is key. And I only see that going higher.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
