What is the next milestone that will have a huge pull back 10-20%? It has to be $50k. $50k is such a rounded number that more and more analysts are calling for the bubble to pop for the time being. It is worth essentially 'day trading' crypto trying to catch it at it's high and waiting for it to pop and buy back in? I think it's a fair assessment that backing out prior to $50k and getting back in would be a more active approach than to just set it and forget it, which we all clearly aren't doing with how much we are watching, reporting, obsessing over it's growth lately. I feel action is easier to stay disciplined with because of the unknown future but it's just as consuming along the way lol.

Half the world might be looking at it versus other currencies.

I "see" support levels at round AU$10k numbers too. Which makes me think we just see what we want when it comes to these round numbers.

Sweet Jeebus.

I logged into SBR and bitcoin was in the high 39Ks, I go to log out 15 minutes later and it's pushing 42k, then I start to make this post and 40.5k... and before I can finish typing this sentence I see 40.2... and then I look back at the price and it's up to 40.7. Craziness.

Fair comment, Opti. I didn't think about it like that.

Could start a whole new thread on the psychology of observations. Poker is a good example. So many times I've seen a player change his stance from BEFORE opponent turns his hand over and AFTER an opponent turns his hand over.

Now a 2k pull-back btw.

Life on the wire. Just have to wonder many Sell Orders were sitting at 42k...and how many BUY orders waiting at 40k on the way down.

Sadly, I would think 36k. The price spike has been so sudden that I think people will start cashing out and purchasers will wait until the spike stops... just my opinion... I hope I'm wrong.

Some of the analysts talk about the fractal similarity to past bull runs. Surely some of that is coincidence. Still, interesting to hear the likes of Ivan talk about this stuff.

2016 election price $700
2020 election price $13,000

btc is much more likely to be $100k than $10k, so why in the holy hell would you sell now unless you need the $

Soiring, I posted it as a theoretical. To my knowledge, there's no active Bitcoin price betting line.

It's just curious to me. IF such a market existed, surely it would be skewed to increasing value. When it's staring at new ATHs...has to be at least 1.5/1 toward the upside. No?

i wish there were options on gbtc, i would sell puts since there is a lot of volatility and a lot of people on both sides of the argument

i'm guessing that you could get at least 2%/month just saying it wouldn't go below 32k

I know Mikey I know. I love the Bitcoin trends and graphs. I'll hang in for while longer. I just like to cash out a bit of the profits from time to time and not get greedy.
