I thought exactly the same thing when I read about it.

I also saw an interview with one of the Reddit founders talking about it and his explanation really helped in understanding what your shiboshis and the other related stuff is about for me.

I have already bought $4200 in shiba last week.

No reason to buy into bitcoin as it is probably at its ceiling and it has a long way to possibly fall. This coin is already at the bottom

Well ok, lets say that it is at 60,000 per $1. How long would it take to double my money to 120,000? Shiba at least has the potential for a huge upward swing. And if I lose all of my $4200, then that is fine. I lose that much in one poker tournament buy in on many occassions. Of course sometimes I win too I guess.

But $4200 wont really matter too much. But we are all gamblers around here. I am just taking that shot in case it shoots up a lot. They have a real aggressive facebook advertising campaign right now

So, it's all about advertising, or "the pump," but very little substance. Is that accurate? I'm just annoyed and envious bc I invest in things society actually needs and they don't moon like this bullshit does.

No. None of us can explain the perceived value of these things in traditional terms.

But when you see this project trying to create a "metaverse" and so many people buying into the idea.

And then see Facebook throw away it's brand to rename as Metaverse.

Maybe the idea that a social media community with no centralized control really is a facebook killer size project.

And I don't know of another more advance right now?

I haven't been able to participate in every drop but lately it's been selling out in less than 30 seconds as opposed to a few minutes in the past. That's definitely bots at work

But here we are living in a time when legit "investments" are routinely returning 2x, 5x, 20x annually.

Obviously not a sustainable situation but here we are. Don't fight it, have a gamble too.

Shiboshis still have room to grow since they are new. Remember never to open any free NFTs that are given to you. People will send you scams, some will be knockoffs of the real thing. If the scammers are able to connect to your metamask, or other wallet used, they will clean you out.

Gaming NFT tokens are going to continue to be big. You want to look at the utility tokens that will be used in the game to buy weapons, land, skins, etc. since there will be a demand to purchase those tokens. I don't like the play to earn tokens used in the ecosystem as much since they are handing those out as earnings for wins and completing tasks. If that's the main utility then people will just want to sell.

For the Shiba ecosystem, we don't know how they plan to use SHIB, BONE and LEASH for their games yet.

Men want to show off with their pure NFTs or they want to be part of a society. Kids will think the gaming NFTs are cool just like the skins used in Fortnite. Those in poorer nations will play the game to make a living such as Axie Infinity.
