    Beginner Bitcoin problem
    Hi everyone

I am pretty new with online gambling and sports betting and also using Bitcoin. I've been doing all three for a few months now. I recently signed up for a new casino and won a decent amount of money from my first deposit. I made my withdrawal in Bitcoin because that was one of their few options and I had made a Bitcoin account a few months before. The withdrawal was approved about 24 hours later and sent to my Blockchain wallet but now it's been more than twelve hours and it still has 0/3 confirmations. Soon after the transaction was showing in my Blockchain wallet, I sent it to my Coinbase account and Blockchain allowed me to do that even though there were still 0/3 confirmations. The transaction shows in my Coinbase account as pending, again with 0/3 confirmations. I'm not sure if sending it right away without any confirmations was a problem. I did contact the casino about it taking so long to be confirmed but as of yet they have not responded. Any advice or suggestions about what I can do would be greatly appreciated.

An accelerator such as https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator may help. There are other free and pay accelerators. Do this with the first transaction between the book and wallet.

Thanks I will look into that accelerator and maybe try it. I have made a few other bitcoin withdrawals before and they were always processed within around an hour, so that's why I got a little worried after more than 6 or 7 hours. Plus I just joined the new casino/sportsbook so I didn't know if they were legit with their withdrawals.

I read a little bit about when transactions get stuck and from what I understood it is usually because of the senders choice of a low transaction fee. And that if the transaction never gets confirmed it can eventually get dropped from the pool of transactions and the bitcoin is then returned to the sender. If that happened would the book resend the funds automatically? I wonder if this happens a lot or if it is very uncommon.

Assuming the book is fair and honest is there any potential problem of not getting paid or is it just an issue of convenience and possibly having to wait a very long time?

I'm sure they paid enough in fees for it not to be dropped. Just a waiting game but you'll get your bitcoin.

Just a tip, I would advise against sending anything to coinbase if it came from a gambling transaction because they will ban you. Even though you sent it to blockchain wallet first, it can still be traced. Invest into a hardware wallet like a ledger nano, they are cheap only like 60 bucks or you can make your own hardware wallet with $5 USB dongles, it's not that difficult.

I actually am having the same problem as this guy. I have done BTC for years and it is always quick. Over 2 days now.

I just did this and it says submissions beyond limit.

It happened to me too once or twice for deposits to wait for hours for the confirmation process to be completed, until my broker could credit my funds to my Orbit Exchange account for casino, although the usual timeframe of waiting was roughly an hour, but never had i lost my funds. The broker as soon as the confirmation was done, within a few minutes' time informed me and i was ready to access my funds and play.
In withdrawals too...it happened once that i had to wait for many hours but in the end all went ok

Just checked this morning and the transactions are now confirmed. So everything went okay just took about 24 hours.

That's weird because a lot of the casinos/books promote bitcoin so much and even recommend coinbase sometimes. I hope I don't get banned from this one transaction. Other than the hardware is there an alternative to coinbase were there is not an issue?

Depends on the book. The bitcoin books do a good job hiding the transactions as being gambling related. They change wallets, etc.

Been waiting over 5 days for a send to complete. Its because the reduction in Chinese miners. The mempool is backed up. This is the weakness of BTC and its inevitable declines as the #1 crypto. As much as I root for BTC there are way better options already in existence.

If you are located in the US, you should not use us-based exchanges like coinbase, kraken, or cashapp to send or receive gambling transactions because they have kyc regulations they have to abide by. They use complex algorithms to track gambling transactions and it may be fine now but eventually it will trigger one of these algos and they will ban you for no reason. The best option is to use your own hardware wallet where you control your keys and it doesn't matter who or where you send or receive from.

Good for you. The fact that so many people are having delays means that there is a problem with BTC. Its cumbersome, unreliable and not-private. Monero, Dash and the like are better by far.

Some of the slowness over the last week was caused by many miner machines being moved out of China so processing power was way down.

The network has reset the difficulty to account for that now, so transactions should be back to normal now.
