On the Binance exchange they now have an option to deposit Bitcoin using the ERC20/Ethereum network. I have a BTC deposit address that starts with 0x. Only problem is that sportsbooks probably don't have that ability. Anyway it's a step in the right direction for fast and cheap transfers.
