    question for Optional
Optional, you said this to someone in the comment section of a contest :

"You can make a temporary wallet at blockchain.com/wallet to accept your prize, then just walk up to a Bitcoin ATM machine and withdraw it as cash. Then forget the wallet forever if you like. There is no ID info attached to it."

Are you saying one can wdraw from a bitcoin ATM without ever having given ID for an ATM card , etc. ?

It would depend on the bitcoin ATM and the amount you're trying to withdrawal.

let's say $50 ---- what might the fee be for that.

      I never saw a btc atm. I don't have a card . I have a wallet. I never gave ID .

Does one scan the sending address from the wallet into the atm and then hope to get cash. Do you have to wait for confirmations.

In the above quote , why did optional say "temporary" wallet and not simply wallet?

        Sorry for slow reply HH.

That guy did not sound like he wanted anything to do with bitcoin. Just collect SBR prizes with it.

I only mentioned he could use it once and forget it, as a temp wallet, so he did not feel like he was having to do anything permanent.

Do a search for "Bitcoin ATM near MyTown" and you will probably be surprised how many there are. Each has their own rules but I think many will let you withdraw a few hundred without ID.

Find the owner company name and check their website for conditions.

They are expensive usually. around 9% quite often.

You can ring the phone number on the machine and negotiate a lower fee if you plan to use it regularly. Usually 4-5%
