If you would like to know when Bitcoin will fall next, the answer is when I am expecting a large payout. Right after I receive it in fact. I have lost thousands in next day drops on this penetrating stuff.

If you do not exchange it fast, it's hardly bitcoins fault Frank.
There hasn't been an intra-day fluctuation in ages that could have cost you thousands in losses unless you are talking about close to a 100k transfer.

OK dude. I am lying. You caught me. I am making this up for sympathy. Bitcoin hasn't had huge drops in relatively short amount of time. Its very stable. I sit around and wait for it to hit so I can convert it to $. I have nothing else going on in my life.

Did not say you were lying, just that it is your own fault if you chose to own Bitcoin for more than 30 mins tops.
You would have been 1000/1 unlucky to have suffered a huge change in value in a short period like that for quite a while now.

The network looks fine. Should confirm in next block for anything with fees above 19 Satoshi/byte.
That's pretty low fee, any chance you got it lower than that? If you don't know how to tell PM me the bitcoin transaction hash and I'll have a look for you.

Don't be a douche. I went to bed one night earlier this month, received a payout (overnight) and by the time I woke up was hundreds of dollars to the negative. This has happened several times, hence the thousands, hence why I am pointing out my bad luck (which you have seemed necessary to reinforce). Oh defender of bitcoin, we cannot be on watch 24 hours a day. We must rest. And, in hopes of letting off a little steam and maybe some commiseration, we get Optional... telling us it is our fault. Bravo optional.. bravo.

Frank, in recent times there has been regular posts about people gaining on transfers. And hardly a soul posting about losing.
As I said earlier, your are either 1000/1 unlucky or not handling your bitcoin very well.
And everyone has to deal with timing of payments. Not just you.
Which books are sending you payments in the middle of the night btw?

I agree with Frank....
It's a crap shoot when asking for a PO now with these books. I had to leave LowVig because they were so inconsistent with their Bitcoin PO's. I asked for a Bitcoin PO Sunday night... didn't receive it until Thursday during the day. Not to mention.... they took the funds out of my acct on Tuesday... and somehow their processor fukked me over on the exchange. So when they finally sent the Bitcoin on Thursday... I lost on BTC fluctuation Thursday AND fluctuation from Tuesday on the exchange. Real bizarre sh#$. LowVig tried to compensate me by depositing an extra $100 in my acct... but I lost a total of $180.00
The only book that is absolutely 100% consistent on paying out Bitcoin on time... and exchange rate is Heritage Sports. Every other book... just absolutely sucks.
I don't have time to wait 36-48 hours every PO and pray that the exchange rate holds. I'm pulling my hair out on a simple PO. It's just absolute absurd sh#$.

Right on TheMoneyShot. Even tiny delays and time lapses can costs hundreds.
Optional, A) Never said I was the only one that had to deal with this. B) If you don't believe what I am saying, then you do think I am a liar. C) To answer your question about what sportsbooks send funds in the middle of the night, answer: sportsbooks that are not in my time zone. D) I dgaf if you believe me or not, I have been on the losing end of BTC fluctuations every time. Never on the positive end. Like I said, I dont care what you think.

I hear that. I was using bitcoin quite a bit in 2017 and half of 2018 but its run its course for me and I'll avoid it from now on.
Luckily, if you are in Canada like me you can use Pinnacle, Bodog, and Sports Interaction and get paid directly to your Canadian bank acct or credit union via eft from Idebit/Instant Banking or direct pay.

If you're losing thousands and haven't set up notifications so you can move it right away, then you like being unlucky I guess.

That seems to be way too much money for it to be caused by bitcoin fluctuation. Did you make sure to check if the book is properly calculating the bitcoin price? My guess would be a book problem rather than a bitcoin price change

Also, is the book calculating the price at the time you ask for the withdrawal or when they pay out? If it's when they pay out, then the bitcoin price fluctuation is irrelevant for fiat books.

Don't understand what you mean by notifications? From the book or wallet?
5Dimes is the only book that emails you once everything is in progress.... funds out of the acct.... but they don't tell you when it will hit the network. You assume it's within 3 hours.... but it's been longer before.
In regards to wallet... what wallet do you use? I use electrum... and I don't get any notifications. I don't think there are any.

Got screwed my last 2 PO's Raiders. 5Dimes.... fluctuated by the time I received it..... lost $18.00
And that joke with LowVig.... lost $180.00 but was compensated $100.00
5D's PO was around 2k
LowVig was around 4k
Both those days.... BTC tilted hard. It was just my luck when I submitted the PO request and when they finally released the funds. If both books give it to me 24 hours sooner.... this sh#$ never happens.

Bookmaker is way better than 5dimes.
Get the first email when I request a payout *(within 5min); 2nd one after they confirm *(1 hr). And usually expect BTC to hit my wallet 1hr after that. Whole process takes 2hrs or less. Never lose more a dollar or 2. It's more of a guessing game with 5dimes. 24-48hrs.

Thanks for the post. I'm glad Bookmaker changed their ways.... when Bitcoin first came out.... Bookmaker use to always clip you about 1% - 1.2% off the amount you requested. They said it was because of fluctuation.... but the last 2 payouts I had... fit 1% perfectly.

buffoon. If you request a payout, they process it at 3 am (your time) and by the time you wake up and check your email six hours later it has dropped significantly, that is bad luck. It dropped $400 on January 9-10 in less than 12 hours. If you had a $15K payout, you lost over $1,000. Don't be a f'king idiot.

Come on here to vent about losing money on a volatile payment system and commiserate with other people who probably have had the same thing happen and you get attacked by half asses who just want conflict. Probably guys who had the luck roll the other way. Because you haven't lost money while sleeping doesn't mean you won't. Nor does it mean I am wrong. F'kin a-holes. Annoying

When emailing the sportsbook (mind you this ain't my first rodeo, we are talking over years and multiple payouts) they wil always respond they have no control over the fluctuation of the BTC value between time they authorize the payout and time they actually send it. They all have same response. Of course, if it went the other way, they wouldn't expect you to send them the difference either, so I understand their position.

Have you ever requested BTC payout before? I feel like I am chatting with people who ahve never been through this. We are talking about top rated sportsbooks aroudn the globe that payout in BTC. There is a lag betwen request and payout. BTC is volatile. You can either gain or lose. That simple.

I'm not playing at fiat books for the most part so you can help me out with this scenario. Bitcoin is worth $4,000 and you request a payout of $4k (1 BTC) from a fiat book. The book doesn't process your payout for 3 days. On that 3rd day BTC is worth $2000. The book is going to give you $2000 (1 BTC)?
