Authenticator on second device

Most of the answers to this question on the web are outdated. Can the same Google Authenticator account be used on another device to generate the same codes? It would be good to have a backup device in case of lost phone, etc.

Yea...as long as you have the code or barcode they give you when you initially setup the account you can add it to other devices.
