Where's that? There's one ATM here in NYC that only takes 5%. Still too high but can't beat the convenience.

I rather do ATM because you can’t trace it into your bank accounts like coinbase

Localbitcoins is best option if u dont have bitpay..but if you do use atm call them for better rate...i use digital mint and have a fixed rate of 6% negotiated w them....well worth 6% for convenience imo but no way 15

Ya I know the ATM fees are ridiculous but nobody can trace the Money- they don’t ask for ID or any information about you - just the telephone number too verify the transaction

Coinbase and circle is very cheap on taking % but that’s definitely getting trace - I don’t think any ATM bitcoin machine is cheap

You know, I think you're right about localbitcoins asking for photo ID when you sign up. I think that is just for registration - that they want you to prove you're a real human. If I remember correctly, I sent in a photo when I registered several months ago (still haven't used their service, yet). Still, I think it may be possible that transactions between buyer and seller can and do remain discreet. Need someone who has used localbitcoins extensively to chime in.....

It used to be more discrete now most of the cash bank deposits which are the best rates and fastest to process require an ID at the bank...most of the sellers whom have the best rates will also ask prior to sending the deposi account info...I’ve done 20-50 btc there and use them often when I need to buy fast or feel like selling slower at a premium

I see. Wouldn't a cash exchange be more discreet if not cost a little more (fees)? For example, I was under the impression one could punch a few buttons on their cell phone to release the BTC from escrow and be paid cash right there on the spot...
