I am thinking about a large deposit to 5dimes with Bitcoin. I'm a little paranoid that it's going to crash and be worthless though. someone reassure me that Bitcoin is legit

Yes. Excellent way to transfer money now that transmission fees are reasonable. Its unlikely to crash while your "sending". And 5Ds holds in $ not BTC like Nitro, so no problem there.
