Kraken planned on being down about 2 hours for a system upgrade. That was 30 hours ago and they are still down. Latest update, team off getting some rest. LOL. I remember some 24+ hour stints doing upgrades to IBM mainframe systems. Welcome to the real world boys.

Kraken still down. One user posted a letter he got from Kraken. While it was meant to be reassuring, it included the following line. "Please, note that your funs with us are secure." I care about my funds, not my funs. Not funs anymore.
So what happens if customer funds are lost? Bad news for them. But what impact on confidence in the overall crypto market.Comment -
Maybe sarcasm helps. Just received an Email from Kraken saying their site was back up and offering free trades through the end of the month. Great. So I went to their site and got the following response .
***MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT***
Kraken is presently offline for maintenance.
While maintenance is underway, the website and API will not be reachable, and orders will not be able to be placed or canceled.
