Bitpay wallet question

Why does my phone, iPad and laptop funds balance from the app don't match?
also I have trouble transferring from bitpay wallet to bitpay debit card, it says
"could not create the invoice, rate limited".
I have tried different amounts and it won't transfer.
So frustrating. Please advise. Thanks.

I still have different balances in the phone, iPad and laptop. All are right - just scattered. I just want to combine all of them to get the same total. It's a pain dealing with bitpays customer service.

Finally got the amount transferred to the debit card, just too much of a hassle - I guess I'm not used to it yet. And there are fees left and right.

since I'm still new to this Bitcoin thing, I withdrew 238 from the sports book to book chain and ended up with 235. Then book chain to bitpay wallet it became 232 then bitpay wallet to bitpay debit card it became 223 because of network costs and miner fees even though it's the same company wth?

so in conclusion I withdrew 238 from the book and got 223 to the bitpay debit card.

what a pain. So does that mean if you withdraw thousands the fees are higher?

No it doesn't mean that, transfer fees are a function of Kb size of the inputs required and network activity. Also, BitPay dont charge you fees to load the card and with more than 100 posters here using it not a single one has ever said their exchange rate was bad before. In fact it appears to be about the best you can get.

As far as losing 5 bucks... thats about the standard fee to have a transaction mined now, and zero to do with BitPay. But it should decrease as software upgardes are implemented in coming months.

I think it might be easier for you to wait until you have done a few transactions before trying to work out all these questions you have. It will become clear and seem simple very quickly.

I would go Book to Wallet to Bitpay. I would use a different wallet then Bitpay. Airbitz is whom I use and its been perfect.

Oh sorry, didn't realize you lost 15 bucks. Not just 5.

That does seem high but there must have been a price drop in bitcoin between you receiving it and loading it onto the card.

Generally if you do your transfers without delay there is not much change in value, and as the price seems to be on a rising slope most of the time, we generally make a buck or two during transfer more often than lose on the rate. Well thats how it has been most of the time for the last 2 years.
