Holding bitcoin in coinbase?

If I want to hold bitcoin for investment should I move it from coinbase to blockchain wallet or leave it?

Do you have a lot or a little? If a lot I would put it somewhere else so if coinbase ever gives in to the US govt you won't get taxed

Yeah I would go with a blockchain wallet over Coinbase as long term storage. And if you are talking about a significant amount maybe think about buying a hardware offline wallet like a Trezor.

No need to leave it in the hands of a company behoven to report to US authorities. Or any company who could go out of business or fall apart Mt Gox style.
