Last night BTC crossed $2k on almost every exchange (I'm looking at you, OKCoin). Wow, what a ride!

So, let's have some fun w/ this. What's your prediction for Bitcoin's value on 12/31/17?

I'll go with $3k, but I literally feel like I could be off by 2 grand in either direction!

As you said in a post a few days ago, there's no way to predict a long term price although it is fun to guess. Short term is much easier.

a few weeks ago i had 7.5 bitcoin.. over the weeks ive cashed out a bunch of those.. now at sitting at almost 2800 ive left thousands on the table

Its just so tough because it will take another fall.. but how much will it fall? how much will it rise before it falls? when will it fall.. these questions can drive you mad

I also sold a lot of ETH, DASH and XMR. Kicking myself for that.

Once the U.S government starts getting involved it will be worth about $10. I hope it doesn't happen but it could.

It would make a dent but bitcoins are big outside of the US. BTC may end up being MySpace and an alt being Facebook. Crypto-currencies are here to stay.

I'm totally w/ ya. Just in the last few months I sold XRP at 1.5 cents and ETH around 15 bucks -- sales that today make me want to kick myself in the balls.
