I have been banned by Coinbase & Circle. Is the next best option to purchase btc through LibertyX? Does anyone have experience with them or know of a better alternative for a NYC resident? Thanks.

How did you get banned at Coinbase and Circle? Did you get an email from them and not answer?Comment -

#3I was banned from Circle without any questions asked. I was asked questions by Coinbase and I answered in a vague manner like you suggested, Raiders. And that isn't a backhanded remark because you have been an unbelievable source of info for me and others here. Coinbase responded that they wanted to see invoices and other documentation that on what kinds of purchases that I was making with btc. At Coinbase, I was transferring directly to websites and got away with it for a long long time. At Circle, I transferred to a wallet and then to the website but still got caught. Disappointing. Was so easy using these sites to purchase/transfer. Now I am left seeking alternatives. The cost to purchase on localbitcoins.com is prohibitive. I refuse to pay 10%-15% extra for btc. I hope that LibertyX works out. Thanks for your help, Raiders.Comment -

#5I have had issues with LibertyX with the stores not knowing what they are doing and also the stores charging sales tax on it...Other then that once you purchase it is simple process to send to wallet..aonother option is localbitcoins...I have been using localbitcoins and have done many purchases without any issues and very very easy and super fast releasesComment -

I think that we don't have to send to a wallet -> books, but just don't raise red flags for your Coinbase or Circle accounts.Comment -

#8All of your bitcoin transactions are public, they will never go away. So, if Coinbase or Circle put a review on your account, they will see all of your transactions to books(even you send to a wallet -> books). I guess you were playing at Nitrogen?

#10Just change your deposit address at Nitrogen now and then. You can do it up to 5 times a day. They have many different wallets for payouts so that Coinbase and Circle can't catch on. Nitrogen is aware of Coinbase/Cirlce banning accounts and have taken this precaution.
When you use blockchain.info (any wallet), Coinbase can only guess that you are the one sending to a gambling site.
If you keep buying computer equipment from the same company using BTC, that computer company could be the gambler. Coinbase isn't positive.
If you go Coinbase to book ONE time, then your account is flagged. Coinbase will now assume that you are the owner of the wallet between Coinbase and sportsbook.Comment -

#12So I made my first LibertyX transaction yesterday. Purchased $500 worth of BTC. Was told that with the fee, it was $516 and then when transferred to my wallet, the value was $497 (could have been due to the fluctuation in value). The vendor told me that no tax was charged and that this is the typical fee. But $16 is more than 3% of $500. Am I missing something? Thought it was supposed to be 1% and actually, the first $500 transaction is supposed to have no fee. Or is this the merchant fee and there was supposed to be an additional LibertyX fee tacked on? Thanks to anyone who has knowledge of this that can provide insight. Thanks.Comment -

We don't charge fees for the first $500 transacted if you sign up using Facebook or redeem your PINs using our mobile apps (iOS/Android). After thttps://libertyx.com/#FAQLast edited by raiders72001; 03-17-16, 05:22 PM.Comment -

One store I bought from charged me 8.75% sales tax on it as they said it was same as a phone card purchase..Other stores have no clue what it is and won't even sell...They need to do a better job informing the stores that there are no add on tax or fees plus tell them what they are. The Web site does explain though but many of these shops are run by Hispanics or Asians who have no idea what they areComment -

#17I fukin hate liberty x. The only store where they offer it around me is a dam arab/indian store where the clerks barely speak English. I have gone there 8 times and they still do not know how to use it. Every time they tell me manager is no here can't do it sorry. What the fuk does that mean? Why the hell do they have it in the store if they can't even use it? Fuk Liberty X.Comment
