    Aug 30 > NL EARLY • PHILADELPHIA (-110) __CHICAGO CUBS (+140)
    >> Kendrick *improving, should be a good starter next year for the Phils...
he's getting used to doing well, i think more improvement today,
against a Met team that is lost, and searching for answers..
Mets can put together a good game, but have difficulty with strings of wins.

Niese (3.51 ERA) not enough to save the Mets

    • PHILADELPHIA (-110)__

    >> Marcum was placed on waivers... that may be enough to distract him,
as the hungry Cubs play hard to avoid the home sweep to a non-playoff team.

    • CHICAGO CUBS (+140)__

Not sure you can call a team "lost" when they've won 4 straight games but GL with your plays.

I did like the Cubs play. Didn't get on it myself but I like it. Marcum has no business being that big a favorite on the road and the late line movement was in your favor. We'll see what happens when this becomes a bullpen game.

where do you monitor that? (late line movements..)
and how soon before game does it usually occur?

            and what is the consistency?

i think (hope) Cubbies take it.. as game progresses, Brewers may just lose heart

I mean line movements are fluid all day. But you see a lot of action an hour before the first pitch. You can use sbrodds to get a good sense of where the juice/lines are going and how books are adjusting to each other.

they pulled it out. 13-12 (3 runs bottom 9th) GOOD on them.

way-to-go Cubz... you really earned that.
coulda quit soo many times.. and just 'called' the game.

but they just kept on comin'

best win this year for them.

both of the above picks won. How are they bad picks..?*

i have tried dedicated threads, but the above troll comes in and ruins them all.. as you can see his reasoning.. so i closed them.

**this is an example of how he is when i win, can you imagine how he gets when i lose..?

he actually goes 'play-by-play'... if a guy hits a HR against you (in game).. he posts it.
writes the player's name.. cheering.. etc...

am i missing something? is there something higher than picking a winner?
i thought the point here was to pick winners and share..*

Well Ratzz it seems you do have a good sense about gambling but not trolls. Let me help you.

Trolls feel rewarded by creating the biggest altercation possible. They want to get a reaction out of you. When you fight with a troll, he wins. When you reason with a troll, he wins. Any time that you give a troll attention, he gets exactly what he wants.

The best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them. When you ignore a troll, he doesn't get the satisfaction of creating an escalated conflict.

If you decide to leave a discussion because of the negative tone, do not dramatically announce that you are leaving. While that message may make you feel better, it only convinces the troll that he is winning.

Its a disorder that combines the antisocial, borderline, histrionic, and narcissistic personality disorders.

Can't imagine how the lack of time hurt a team.. they are either SITTING on a bench, standing still at the plate, or pacing around the outfield... not a physically intense game in any way you stretch. Though now that the Giant ARE losing it is easy to use the obvious reason as a reason.. when in fact it is because of a SP having a shit day

Nittany it's called credibility! Anyone can go into threads after a game is in progress or has ended and give their "expert hindsight" opinions.
