He has an 8.27 ERA this season in eight day games, compared to a 4.13 ERA in 16 night games. In case you were wondering, his next start is a day game Monday at Fenway Park.

I like the way Hochevar has been pitching lately, he's had four good starts in his last five and this is the second straight year that he has improved noticeably in the second half of the year. Dice-K wasn't THAT bad in his first four starts when he had 20 strikeouts vs. six walks in 22 innings, and in his last start, he was bothered by the neck injury that landed him on the DL. And day/night stats are meaningless to me, I never look at them.

Strictly value plays based in my projections. I mean I love King Felix and I think he is one of the best pitchers in baseball, but that is still an enormous price for the Seattle team as a whole on the road, I see the Twins winning that game close to 45% of the time, which equates to about +122. I actually put Rockies closer to 48%, which is scary because I hate varying THAT much from the actual odds. Yes I think Beckett will be better in the NL and he has handled pitching at Coors well in limited opportunities in the past, but I still think he is an overlay.
