Wade v. Appel. Appel is the pitching stud, but he's up against the top offense in the PAC-12. Wade had a great outing against Stanford last season. Figuring a close game here, so the large odds worth a roll on Arizona.

Diamond Dogs at home against a Auburn squad struck with illness. As a result, Auburn isn't really sure who is going to start on Thursday. State starts Luis Pollorena, a lefty who is 6-1 with a 3.02 ERA. State pretty much ranks better in your major categories: Runs Score. Fielding Percentage. Team ERA.
Boo ya. Suspended game finished. 6-3 win for State.

The chalk on this is silly stupid, but I think this is a solid bet. Washington has proven to be a tough squad against top tier teams. They went into LSU and lost by four or less in two of three in that series. They've stood up against some of the PAC-12's best in UCLA and Oregon and not been overly embarrassed. Oregon State has been rolling in league play, but has only won by five runs or more in three of 12. OSU is clearly the better team pitching-wise and hitting-wise, but this is a large spread to cover in the series opener on the road.

Another one that looks fairly even. Wolfpack are the hot team with 12 straight wins and they roughed up Tech's best pitcher, Buck Farmer, on Friday in a 13-4 rout. Carlos Rodon gets the nod for NC State. His brilliant freshman campaign is gone as he has struggled as a sophomore. Tech has the better offense by the numbers, but not by a ton. Both pitching staffs can struggle at times. Righty Issacs goes for Tech. He has experience and decent stuff, but has struggled a little as a starter. Tech pen is generally not as reliable as the Wolfpack, so a quick start for NC State could do the trick today. With hot bats and a rested pen if Rodon struggles, I think the dog is worth another roll with this one. Starts at 6pm ET.

Washington up 3-0 on the Beavers in the 6th with the bases juiced and a chance to ice that +4.5 spread pretty nicely with a big hit somewhere.

                LSU -3.5 [+100]
The mismatch makes it worth the try IMO. LSU sends Eades to the hill, one day after Nola shut 'Bama out in a 5-0 win for LSU. The Tigers rank 2nd in the league with a .309 average and 2nd in the SEC in runs scored with 279. Opposite, Alabama struggles with just a .250 team avg. and only 197 runs scored. Eades is 7-1 with a 1.97 ERA, countered by Justin Kamplain who is making just his second start. Figure on the 'Bama pen being involved as a result, but they are pretty solid. If Eades limits 'Bama though, LSU should have a chance to open this one up some. 'Bama hasn't been killed against some really good teams this season, but when they score two or less - they have lost seven of 12 by four runs or more. LSU meanwhile has won by four or more in 16 of their last 20 wins since SEC play opened.

Caash it, NC State 6-2. LSU though in a hole early to 'Bama 3-0. Long way to go, but did not expect the Tide to score more than three total. LSU gonna have to whoop out the boom sticks.

Ole Miss goes for the series sweep, but will have to do so against the Vols best pitcher. Godley leads the Vols starters with a 3.26 ERA and is off a shutout against Kentucky last time out. Ole Miss sends sophomore Sam Smith who is 2-0 with a 4.40 ERA in seven starts. He pitches to contact, so the Vols should have some opportunities. Tennessee will need a strong performance from Godley as they spots a terrible pen, but if Godley gives them 6-7 strong innings, their offense is good enough to keep pace with the Rebels.

Fukking Vols blew a 3-1 lead in the 9th. Lack of bullpen probably blew them there as they left Godley in to try and finish - although he had been solid all game despite shitty defense.

Fantastic mid-week tilt against Vandy and Louisville, at Louisville. Pretty even match-up as the price reflects. Vandy's starter Walker Buehler, has a bit more experience as a starter on the season. Louisville's Kyle McGrath makes start #2. McGrath has been an excellent bullpen arm. Also like Vandy's road experience in the tougher SEC where they have beaten tough teams.

Emanuel vs. Wilkins in Game 1. Will give an edge pitching wise to the Heels and the experienced lefty. Wilkins is a senior with experience also, but his stuff doesn't match Emanuel's. Both bullpens have been solid, but the Heels is better. Likewise, good offenses but the Heels have depth up and down the lineup that can get you.

The Wildcats roll out their third straight lefty against Ole Miss in the rubber match of this three game set. It was a calculated move by Kentucky as they try to regain footing in the SEC. The Rebels are a game under .500 on the season vs. lefty starters, so it was a wise try on Kentucky's part. Littrell goes today, he's probably their best pitcher. Sam Smith goes for Ole Miss, he's been solid and the Rebels are 7-2 when he starts. Offenses rank about even with Kentucky holding a little more pop, but they are reliant on four big bats to do most of their damage.

Ridiculous odds although if any team might warrant it, could be LSU. Still, this game is a lot more even than the price suggests. Gamecocks put Montgomery on the mound. He's been stout all season before and after an arm injury. He should be free of any restrictions tonight. Eades goes for LSU. He's been a horse all season, but has hit a bit of a lull the last two weeks - lasting only four innings in each of his last two starts. If S.Carolina can continue that trend, they will have a shot to win this one. Both teams are pretty even in most of the major categories. Great bullpens. Good defense, although LSU's is superior & both offenses pretty consistent in scoring with about a 20 run difference on the season in favor of LSU. S.Carolina truthfully will need a miracle to catch Vanderbilt in the SEC East, but they should be looking for wins to stay ahead of Florida who is currently tied with them for 2nd - but swept the Gamecocks recently.

Gators come in red hot as they have gotten themselves back into contention in the SEC with a superb month of April. LSU lost their 1st series of the season last weekend to South Carolina. That shows how dominant this team has been, but that they can be had. The opener tonight is probably Florida's best bet to pick up a win as they face Nola & Eades after this - although Eades has scuffled some lately. Florida's starter for tonight seems up in the air, but may be Jonathon Crawford by default due to others returning from injury. Cody Glenn goes for LSU, sporting a "lofty" 3.13 ERA by LSU standards. I think this game could be closer than the odds suggest and with Florida needing wins still - I think it's worth a roll.

Was worth it even though Florida lost 3-2. Better hitting in clutch situations and they might have pulled it out. LSU grabbed a run in the 8th to win.

Another good looking series in the SEC with South Carolina. Pitching match-up tonight is dynamite. Ziomek for Vandy. Belcher for SC. Both are solid lefties, but Ziomek is a little bit better with his deception and variety. Vandy is a bit better offensively with 60 more runs scored and the best batting avg. in SEC play. Carolina has a bit more pop, but Vandy is more terrorizing on the base paths. SC will have momentum from winning a series @ LSU, but Vandy shouldn't be phased here. They have won tough games on the road all year.

The pitching match-ups are not in stone, but the suggested pitchers could be Hochstatter for Stanford and McCreery for Arizona State. The Sun Devils really have not had a legit 3rd starter all year, but McCreery has been in that role. His ERA is inflated at 8.25 with seven starts. His 24 IP suggest that the Sun Devils will again look to get whatever they can and then turn it over to the bullpen. Stanford will look for the same from Hochstatter, but I think the Cardinal have a little more bullpen flexibility. Stanford has stunned ASU with two wins in this series and look for the sweep. This game looks like it could go either way again and that means Stanford @ +200 is good to try IMO.

Gubitza for Rice & Moll for Memphis offers for a great pitching match-up between the two most dominant pitchers in C-USA. Offenses close to even in most of the major categories although Memphis has the stolen base threat over Rice.
