    Today Hamels and Phillies -124
The odds that appear in this series are tempting enough to catch the Phillies in each of his games at Petco. Hamels (1-1, 4.32 ERA) is 4-2 with a 2.75 ERA in nine starts versus San Diego, Including 2-1 while giving up five runs in 28 2 / 3 innings in four Outings at Petco Park. He allowed four hits in eight innings of a 5-0 win in last historical appearance There Aug. 29. PADRES, are playing poorly (8-11) has lost three of four and Been shut out a major league-Leading five times this season. The Padres Who Have Scored an NL-low 60 runs. Clayton Richard (1-0, 4.50) takes the mound Trying to bounce back from His worst start of the season. The left-hander allowed five runs Had over 14 2 / 3 innings in His first three Outings, pero Gave up six in 5 1 / 3 innings and Did not factor in the decision in an 8-6 win at Houston on Sunday.

Phillies pick today is the profitable way, win or lose.

That just it Grinder, Phillies bats fizzled out again last night after the early runs, but I guess San Diego's bats are poor too right now, maybe a play on Philly and the Under.

San diego bat is very poor, and hamels take the moud, with a impressive record at petco. Adding good perfomance of the hitters, we have the play.

I'm on Phi today. Hammels last game against SD he threw 8 innings blanking the padres in a 5-0 win. Although their bats are not swinging good they have a LOT more to play for and they should get an easy win over padres today.

Hamels is looking to continue his command of the Padres. Friday will mark the 10th time Hamels squares off against the Padres, taking a 4-2 record, 2.75 ERA and .190 opponent's average recorded at San Diego's expense. As for PETCO Park? The southpaw has taken every advantage of its pitcher-friendly confines. Hamels is 2-1 with a career 1.57 ERA and has walked only two batters in four starts (28 2/3 innings) in San Diego, including eight scoreless innings in 2010

Big question is can the Pads score? As a Pads fan, I wouldn't wager on them with your money.
