#2I look at "stuff" as well if they are pitching well as of late.
Tim Lincecum was money everytime he pitched in the playoffs but there was a period of time in July/August he was serious fade material.
Look for these guys to be lights out to start the season
1. Roy Halladay
2. Cliff Lee
3. Mark Burhlee
4. Ubaldo Jimenez
5. Chris Carpenter
6. Josh Johnson
7. Brandon Morrow
8. Ricky Romero
9. Matt Garza
10. Clayton Kershaw
11. David Price
12. Phil Hughes
13. Brett Anderson
14.Tim Hudson

#3Why do you think those particular guys will be great to start? I know cc is a slow starter so he could be a good early fade... be careful with josh and his elbow, and love garza in a new stadium until that chicago wind starts blowing outComment -

#4Also to answer the op, see how long guys goes into games cause the bullpen then becomes a big factor, how they did the last 3 starts is important, number of pitches number of days rest, sure I'm missing stuff. O yeah groundballs is a good one alsoComment -

#5For Totals... Groundball/Flyball ratio, WHIP, and recent performance of both clubs offenses
For RL/ML... WHIP, Innings pitched per start, strength of bullpens, history against the opposing team(some teams have a certain pitcher figured out or vice versa)Comment -

#9I like Phil Hughes b/c if he is the 3rd starter in the Yankees rotation he should get some favorable matchups as far as who is pitching for the other team.
Hughes is better than most #3 starters and the Yankees line-up is pretty consistent. I don't know if I would take CC and AJ vs teams #1 and #2 pitchers until they prove what kind of form they are in to start the season.
Everybody is going to be on the Redsox this year but I don't know if you can trust Josh Beckett or Lester to come out sharp to start the season.
I'd probably go with the Redsox and Lackey against pretty much anybodys #3 starterComment -

#12Yeah Morrow has as good of stuff as anyone in the game.
He should get decent run support as well. Some scouts seem to question his ability to take on a full season's work load and stay healthy.
Yankees Mitre is probably good fade material.Comment -

#14Recent form and history vs opposing lineup.
I suggest to look in hitting lineups as well. They're important as Starting Pitcher. If you can't score runs, you can't win.Comment -

there's no value in any of these guys, you'd be better off fading themComment -
