Any Brewers or Jays fans out there have an opinion on the Marcum-for-Lowrie trade? Personally I love the fact that Lowrie is Canadian but Marcum was our ACE since Halliday left. Hope he's all he's cracked up to be.

#3As a Jays fan initially I was like WTF but trust AAs vision as a GM. Marcum isn't an overpowering guy and relies on control and location and he didn't have a great second half so probably a good idea to sell high on him.Comment -

#5Winning move for the Brewers imo. Having canadian, black, white hispanic players makes no difference. It's about having the best roster. I personally like a good mix, but lean to more white players because of tradition. Hispanic players are very talented, but the teams that are loaded down with them don't win despite there talent.Comment -

Marcum will be a solid starting pitcher for the Brewers, and will get some RBIs too. I only hope this kid we're picking up will be solid or better than solid in a few years.Comment -

#10I think the Jays sold high. Marcum's good, but he's no ace. Getting a A+ prospect and the wage certainty seems a solid move.Comment -

#11Not sure about all of this Greinke to Toronto talk, always hard to wade through the fact-or-fiction waters this time of year. If the Jays wanted to go after Greinke right now, why not include Marcum in a package back to KC? Doesn't make much sense to trade Marcum for the prospect Lawrie, can't imagine Lawrie will pique the Royals' interest more than Marcum would.Comment -

#15My thoughts are that the Brewers are really making some great moves. Loved the Greinke add, cant argue with Marcum, especially not in that weak weak NL Central. I think the Reds and the Playoffs were a one and done deal.Comment -
