Fuk the Padres and the front office.
Who do the Padres have to lead the offense now?

Fade the Padres all day in 2011.

        Padres TT Under

There was no way they were going to pay Adrian top 5 money. At least they got a few of Boston's top prospects. I think Jed Hoyer knows what he's doing.

Im happy that Adrian is going to a contender. He should rake at Fenway and in those hitter friendly AL parks.

Maybe once the Chargers leave, the padres will bring in more money and can start spending a little more.

BTW, Heath Bell is as good as gone too

If the Padres want some real material back in return, they should traded Bell by the trade deadline to get desperate teams to cough up their secret weapons. It's the only way the Padres will really be back on the board.

Gonzalez will love Fenway especially if they move the right field fences in 10 feet. Fenway has always been good to lefties as long as you can go the other way. Padres got some good prospects in return too. Kelly is going to do really well in san Diego. I thnk he might be ready by mid season.

few are better than Adrian Ginzalez when it comes to going oppo. He'll be good for 50+ jacks a year in the AL

Padres had to get rid of him, or he'd walk as a FA.

The plan was to trade Adrian during the trade deadline in hopes for teams to get desperate and give up some Major League ready players. Padres have young guys who are not coming through.

Evereth Cabrera was suppose to be the base stealer, but he can't get on base.
Will Venable was suppose to be our power hitter, but he ends up killing rallies.
Kyle Blanks just went under Tommy John surgery.
Chase Headley picks his slumps when things are picking up.
Mike Baxter, 2011 might be his official rookie year as he has some at bats this year.

Adrian's going to kill at Fenway. The AL East is just silly tough.

                            Good bye Adrian. Its official!

The Padres are doomed as Adrian lead the Padres in every category of offense numbers.
                            The End is here!
Padres will have to wait another 4+ years for some position player All-Star.

Gonzalez will be a beast hitting half his games in Fenway. He never wanted to stay in San Diego anyway, nor was it even possible to retain him. Padres will still have awesome pitching, although they have a lot of holes on offense now, they have a fair amount of payroll freed up to sign some guys this offseason and be ok until some of the younger guys can contribute.

Adrian does not understand the future pressure he will get in Boston from the fans. If Adrian gets injured again or gets on a slump, fans are gonna let him hear it.

No argument here. I find myself rooting for the cheaper teams during the course of the season. You never see a player stay with a team for the duration of their career anymore.

Wow, talk about adding pop to the lineup after probably losing Beltre. This is a great sign since Adrian is apparentely on the beggining of his prime.

Gonna be a great fight between Yanks and Sox for the AL East next season.

Every fan of a team that isn't in a "major market" knows that those good young players coming up through the farm system are future yankees, or red sox.
