Sanchez is horrible on the road. His ERA is up. And hist last start, only lasted a couple of innings.

And yes, that was the game the Giants ended up winning against the Phillies to go to the WS.

I am on Texas for the series and think they could lose again on saturday.

It is always feast or famine with Sanchez, and he did have a borderline psychotic breakdown in Philly. Then again that is like psychotic breakdown #88 for the season, and he has bounced back sooner than later after each one. I just don't see a clear reason to bet against the Giants here, unless you just want some action.

I'm not saying that the Rangers "have to" win this game because they are due, I'm saying that Sanchez is the weakest link and is facing against the line-up I posted up stairs.

Sanchez has been solid, this was what I predicted before the series started, that Giants pitching would silence Texas bats. Yankees and Rays pitching isn't exactly what you call GREAT pitching.

I like the Rangers on the runline. Sanchez walk problems with no easy outs in the 8-9 holes plus warmer temps all point to the Rangers best chance to get back in the series.

Lewis won't pitch past the sixth, and then it's the Rangers' bullpen. I am not comfortable with that bullpen.

I believe the Rangers win at least two at home a Saturday is a must win if they want to get back into the series.I think they are going to be ready to hit this weekend but this is going to be their biggest test all year before they have never had to come out of an 0-2 hole. I'm interested to see who pitches game 4 because I really think they need Lee to win 2 more if they want to win it in 7. I know he got rocked but he is still the guy I'd want out their in game 7 if the Rangers can force it to that.

Last time out (October 23, at Philadelphia, last game of series), Sanchez did indeed get rocked. It will be interesting to see how he recovers. And anyway, I trust Bochy and I trust the bullpen. That's key. When Sanchez got rocked on October 23, the Giants beat the Phillies, in their park.

In the ALCS, he struck out 11 Braves batters in Game Three on October 10, becoming the only left handed pitcher in Giants history to strike out 11 batters in a post season game.
