Yes, and no. Being bored out of my freakin mind the last two days I went back and watched every pitch of Lee's outings against the Rays this season.

There's one given with all three outings:
Cliff Lee dominated the Rays through seven innings in all three starts

Let's take his last start on August 16 in Tampa:
Lee had given up 2 runs through seven innings. In the 8th inning and one out Upton hit a bloop double to RF. Brandon Boggs was playing RF this game. You can make the case that he shouldn't have let the ball drop. The next play was an infield single in the hole, followed by another ball hit to 2B in which Joaquin Arias (also no longer on the team) tried to go to 2nd for the force out leading to a fielders choice with all runners being safe. Then the inning got away with singles early in the count.

I realize bloop hits/5 foot singles are part of the game but it's not like Tampa has hit HRs off him.

On May 16 he gave up 2 runs in 8 innings once again letting a run score in the final inning.

On May 5 he gave up 2 runs through 7 innings once again and got into trouble in the 8th. Once again 2 of the four hits were infield hits (one deflected into CF off 2B) and one run scoring on a throwing error.

The Rays have scored runs off Lee (80% of them coming in the 8th inning) but they have not hit him hard.

I like my chances with them as dogs this afternoon.

You need to go back and watch film if you are serious about making money. I LOVE stats but stats only say so much. Getting 4 runs on a pitcher with 4 home runs is different than getting 4 runs on a HBP, two infield hits off the end of the bat and a first pitch grand slam

Ya, I know. I watched the games also because I felt I had an edge. Especially cause I was on Lee on the game he allowed the 6 runs. so I watched it over again and felt this was a very good spot for the Rangers to get their postseason win.

I even made a thread saying Texas TT over 3 was the best play because I was pretty sure they would hurt PRice.

Let's hope they can hang on.
