I think you guys are fools taking this offer. Sure it's a good offer, but this has stiff written all over it. If he is so confident why not just bet at the point book all he wants for a better line for himself.

He has 1500 points. He stands to gain like 150 points from this thread, and around 300 from another he made. Not really a lot of points to steal as a ratio. Plus this would pretty much ruin his reputation for life. I'll personally let a mod know if he runs with the points and get him banned / all points taken away before he blinks. 60 minutes after game time he says: He better stick to his words!

Check his other posts, he seems like a stand up guy.

But why do it? He could point bet the dodgers for a much better price at the SBR book than what he is getting here.. He is essentially taking the Dodgers now -150 instead of EV -110. Why??

Why does anyone do it? Forum bragging rights? I agree it is funny sometimes. But whatever I've got 30 points risk against his forum rep and he's risking losing all his points by scamming.

Guess your right, but most offering a special line don't go 50-60 cents in the other direction. If I was him I would have just bet it at the point book.. regardless of what he knows or thinks he knows it a dumb offer regardless of tonites outcome because the lines are sharp enough that any special line is almost always going to be -Ev for the poster giving it. The people taking the offer are doinf the right thing in the long run.
