Tanner question for you sir...I bet the REDS when Sf was -133...to beat the closing line...It went to -139/-140 before game time....so I guess I did not beat the closer...is it better to wait for late line movement...?? Little confused on this Thanks

JR: in my opinion getting your bets in early in MLB is the way to go. Because of the volume of games played it is important to get the best number possible, and if you pick the right side it is easier to do this if you bet early.
Late movement in baseball doesn't usually sway me as much as in the NBA. But tonight I actually had the Red's, saw the drastic line movement to the giants and over, and bought back my red's bet. If you place your bets close to gametime you wont beat the closer which is my number one priority.

good info tanner but you do realize there are many more aspects to gambling than money and lines. i just found this out last night.20 years of gambling and i was informed finally.just take the yanks when they are -300

THANKS GUYS.....JUST TRYING TO CORRELATE BEATING THE CLOSER WITH THE LATE LINE MOVEMENT......TO MAKE THE "RIGHT DECISION"......i GUESS THAT IS THE CHALLENGE......BUYBACK IS DEFINATELY A FACTOR THEN
I GUESS THAT LEADS TO ANOTHER QUESTION ??? WHEN DO YOU "BUYBACK....WHEN THE CLOSING LINE "REVERTS" BACK TO THE OPEN ????? THANKS....OR DO i WAIT TO SEE A SWING OF 10 CENTS OR MORE ???

JR it moved so quickly and aggressively I knew the reds had no shot. The more it moves closer to game time the more someone knows.
Look at the total in that game. It went from 7.5 to 8 before first pitch. And 13 runs were scored.

The late $ produces a winner...good to see that happen when you beat a move and lock in at a better number then the close.
