Today's Day Games are Must-See TV.
    STL -135 (Wainwright) @ CIN +115 (Arroyo):
On the day following that brawl in Cincinnati (http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5454113), we get the pleasure of this pitching matchup, with these two teams tied for the division lead in the NL Central both going to their respective Aces.
Adam Wainwright (16-7, 2.07) gets the nod for the Cards and most days Adam is unbeatable. Wainwright has allowed 0 earned runs in 6 of his last 10 starts. He has not allowed more than 6 hits in any start since June the 9th out west in Dodger Stadium. Wainwright is 15-1 versus the run line in his 16 wins this season as well, so he seems to get a consistent amount of support. Today, in the third game of this heated division rivalry, Wainwright will give his best and look to take this one on his own.
Bronson Arroyo (15-8, 3.83) goes for the Reds in this 1235 pm start and must win for the struggling club. The Reds lost the first two games of this series and will hope for the best from Bronson. Arroyo has not allowed an earned run in his last two starts (@ Wrigley and v. Atlanta), going 7 innings in each and striking out 10.
Must win here for the Reds who have their ace on the mound, but they unfortunately get one of the best pitchers in the National League in opposition.
I can’t turn my back on Wainwright, especially not on this line. Take a look at the run line as well.

    ATL -140 (Hanson) @ HOU +120 (W. Rodriguez)
The Braves have not won a Tommy Hanson (13-10 3.69) start since July 9th, but Hanson has pitched well in each of those starts, only allowing 3 earned runs once. He will absolutely have to have his best stuff today as he gets one of the hottest pitchers in the game.
The Braves pulled out an amazing 9th inning win with a two run homer giving them a lead late and managed to win on a day that the Phillies lost, stretching their lead to 2.5 games in the NL East standings.
Wandy Rodriguez (10-12, 4.34) has returned to his previous form.

After a dreadful start to the 2010 season, Wandy has found his control and begun dominating once again. Minus one 5 earned run performance on the 19th of July (which the Astros won), Wandy has allowed a combined 1 earned run in the next 3 starts. Since the 24th of June, when this re-invention began, Rodriguez has allowed 11 earned runs in 8 starts.
    I love the Astros here.

    TAM -105 (Garza) @ DET -115 (Verlander)
Another really good pitching matchup here. Matt Garza has pitched pretty well of late, especially considering his no hitter against these Tigers on July 26th. Garza also picked up a save against the Red Sox on the 7th of July. Garza is either great or garbage, and just seems to always be a coin flip. In his last 10 starts, he has allowed 3 earned twice, 4 earned twice, and 7 earned twice, but has two shutout outings in 17 innings in two of his last three starts. Minus his no hitter against the Tigers in his last start, he is 0-4 with a 4.57 against Detroit on his career.
Verlander (13-9, 3.81) gets the start for the Tigers. The Tigers have lost the last three games in which Verlander has started and 4 of the last 5. Verlander hasn’t shutout team’s offense since a 6.2 inning, 4 hit, goose egg versus the Yanks on May 13. He has had some difficulty with his control as well.
Tampa here as the Detroit offense just isn’t good enough.

    KC +143 (Greinke) @ LAA -163 (Weaver)
Another great matchup and another day start. Greinke (8-15, 4.14) has really struggled this season and it seems like it’s just a matter of time before he returns to form. When a player dominates like he has in the past, it seems like it’s an easy fix. But, Zack has not found that easy fix. Greinke allowed 10 hits and 6 earned in his last start. He allowed 8 earned on hits at home against Minnesota on the 26th of July. The Royals have won 6 of his last 10 starts, but today he is out west and opposing Jered Weaver (12-11, 2.96 171K), the ace of the Angels’ staff.
The Angels have won Weaver’s last two starts, in which he allowed a combined 1 earned in 14 innings pitched. He struck out 9 in his last start (@ Det), 7 in the start before that (v. Tex), and 8 in the start before that (v. Bos). But Weaver has been the victim of some lack of support, which is clear from looking at his numbers on the season. Jered hopes to get a little support today as he faces off against another proven star pitcher.
He will probably get hit around a little bit today as he faces a very good hitting team, but if he can limit the damage and get out of some jams, the Angels ought to get the job done at home.

Enjoy the day baseball today and these amazing pitching matchups. Pick one to hammer with confidence.
    Good luck out there.

I'm on the Reds today. Saw the highlights from yesterdays game and that was sweet Only problem was Cueto that little fukker, who taught him how to fight. Kicking people in the faces with his spikes
