Hey Ralphie...no hard feelings the other day in Paco's thread, I was just giving you shit because you're a chicago sports fan. I'm a cards fan, so we all know how the fans on both sides like to hassle each other...I was wondering your input on the matter: I've been betting on sports for +2 years now and have never really gotten anywhere. I'm not a high roller by any means and usually only deposit about $20 everytime I get on my book. I'm to the point where I believe that my knowledge has grown on sports but the -$ is adding up every year and I would like to experience some success lol. I'm not saying I want to be where you're at (it would be nice lol) but I would just like to come out with a little $ sometime. I do it for fun. People always ask me why I gamble if i lose...I enjoy it. It's like going to a bar or anywhere else to spend money for a good time only to not really have anything concrete to show for it. You say you started at $90. Did you bet small to get to a comfortable number to where you could afford to bet bigger and bigger or were you betting a big chunk of that one game? I'm just trying to pick people's minds on how they approach handicapping. Any insight negative/positive would be much appreciated. Thanks bud.

Just keep plugging away at it man. It will happen for you, glad to hear your knowledge is growing. Thats a good thing, its amazing how much you can learn. I know it can be frustrating not winning a lot of money but look at it this way, you arent down big after 2 years like most gamblers. As long as you are doing well enough to keep going you are doing something right. The rest will happen for you. Everyone gets hot eventually.
