Unreal...shoulda stuck with my gut.. This morning around 9:30 I looked at the spreads really quick bc i had to run. I put my bet in on the tb game.. Then i got home around 1 and noticed that the cincy game was the highest, so i also put a bet down on that thinking that I just looked at the spreads wrong this morning. Lucky the tb game won...wish I woulda just stuck with that bet. Unfortunately the cincy game was the system bet... So looks like here we go on our first D bet...

D Bet with these odds?
I have a suggestion. Why not try Daba's strategy? I mean playing the biggest dog everyday. 1st lines can be very unpredictable and definetely there's no value in lines like -170, -160. Your labouchere line will be very relaxed if you pick +140, +150 etc.

We gonna have a few decent sized bets the next few days. Hopefully we can clear some of these lines! If you are uncomfortable at all with where our lines stand, feel free to add a number to both sides of each line.
For example:
A line:
107 107 107 107
B line:
X 107 107 107 107 X
C/D line:
X 107 107 107 107 X
By doing this, you will obviously be set back a little in terms of time in retrieving what we lost. But sometimes you gotta take a step back to take 2 forward.. and the whole purpose of the labby lines is to lower our risk. So like i said, if the lines are at all more then you feel comfortable with, dont hesitate to add some numbers. May take some extra time to recoup, but after we clear a few lines, the results will be the same. Let me know if you have any questions at all. Like i said at the beginning of the thread, since this is a new system for all of us, and has not been backtracked a ton, I am just betting it small in accordance to my bankroll (as I suggest you all do too). While yes making money is the purpose of this thread, and I think this system is good enough to do it, one of my main goals is to help teach you all this money management concept that I think will be very beneficial to us all. I look forward to making some money this week from this system and clearing some of these heavy lines!

I have gone back and forth with dabas thread... I see a lot of both positives and negatives from it. I think money can be made with both his strategy and the strategy used in this thread as long as good money management is used. The flaw I see in doing the opposite, playing the biggest underdog everyday, is that of the 13 wins this system has produced so far, 9 of them were on the A bet. If we were doing the biggest underdog, those 9 A wins would have turned into 9 A losses you see what I mean? I like the idea, I just dont know if it will work with a 1 game per day strategy.

I did the same thing!! I thought I must have overlooked the cincy game bc was rushing out the door.. So I just put the cincy bet in too when i got home... Lucky for me I guess. But the official system play should be cin/la since i dont think the tb line ever got up as high as -175 unfortunately..

This was a tough loss but I've still had positive days the last 4 since I'm betting on more than just this 1st inning stuff to clear my lines. Martingale betting would be toast right now compared to our labouchere.

Yea definitely... I have 8 systems going right now.. all are pretty strong, so they all support each other using the labby.. This 1st inning strategy is kind of an experiment i thought i would start small on. So far its worked well though.. im interested to see how it works over the long haul.

Content of my undelivered message to you.
dlunc3:
Since I was made aware that I cannot message you until I have 25 posts, thought I'd include the content of the message here. Perhaps there are others like myself who are unable to completely grasp the betting progressions you are using.
I have never used the labouchere system per se, but I have reviewed the system through the link references I list below. Even though I have read through the information, I still am unable to determine exactly how to set up the lines of your variations of the system (reference your post #5, 7, 12 and 23 in this thread).
I've looked through your entire four pages (to date) of this thread. Even though I've been sports wagering for 25 years, and even though I have a college education (don't say it failed me!), I cannot understand how the A, B, C, D, lines, etc. work and how the amounts and the X's are derived after wins and losses, etc..
Feel sort of dumb about this but I need a bit of a 'cook book' explanation on how these number come about. Once shown that I can certainly adapt. (I hope).
If you can explain in a bit of detail using the same numbers you are using in the wagers you list, I would appreciate it. If it's too time consuming, I certainly understand. You're not here to tutor.

Yes that is correct. Depending on how you feel with your A and B lines, you could always make them smaller by adding some to your C lines by taking some from your A and B lines. It all really depends on how you personally feel with the current lines in accordance to your bankroll. But yes, your lines are correct. Good job clearing that C/D line. Looking forward to getting that A line cleared this week!

No problem... once you get the hang of it, you will realize it is fairly easy. The purpose is 100% to make money by clearing lines. Since D bets are rare, what I do for this system is combine the D line with my C line. So we will always have 3 lines, and A line, B line, and C/D line. Our lines will always have either 4 numbers, or 2 X's and 2 numbers. The goal is to clear all the numbers. Once the numbers are clear, you can begin a fresh line starting with your original amount again (in this case 50 50 50 50). The way we decide how much to bet is, we combine the two outside numbers of our line. So if we are on an A bet, for 50 50 50 50, we would combine our outside numbers and bet to win $100 (50 + 50). If this bet is won, we would then put an X over the two outside numbers to make out line look like this: x 50 50 X. Our next A bet would be to win the last two numbers in that A line which is still 50 and 50. So we would be again to win $100. Once this bet is won, our line would look like this: X X X X. We have then cleared the line, so we would then start a fresh like of 50 50 50 50 again. What is great about the system is that no matter how big your numbers get, you are always just two wins away from clearing the line! To keep my lines smaller, I like to even them out a lot after losses. So say we bet $150 to win $100 on an A bet and lose. What I might do is divide $150 by my total amount of numbers. If all 3 of my lines are 50 50 50 50, then we would have 12 total numbers. So I would divide $150 by 12 and get 12.50. So I would then add 12.50 to each of my numbers. Now, all three of my lines would be 62.50 62.50 62.50 62.50. If say my lines were at: A line: X 75 75 X B Line: 75 75 75 75 C Line: X 75 75 X..... Say we were on a B bet. We would be betting to win $150 (75 + 75). So say we bet $250 to win $150. If we win the bet, we would cross out the two outside numbers on our B line to make it look like this: X 75 75 X. But, if we were to lose the bet, we would need to add that $250 that we lost back into our lines. So you could either divide the $250 by 8 (since there are 8 total numbers in our line) and add 31.25 to each number, or you could just divide the $250 by 4 and add the 62.5 to just the B line numbers. That would be totally up to you. The great part about this money management is that it is so flexible. You can move numbers around and spread numbers out around all your lines to where you feel most comfortable. You will always result in the same profit as long as you dont ever add numbers to any of your lines, and if you always remember to add all your total losses to your lines. If you read my post from last night, you will see that I did recommend adding extra numbers to your lines if you ever get out of your comfort zone. By doing this, it will take you a little longer to clear all of your bets, but you will still end up with the same amount of profit once you do eventually clear all your lines. As I said earlier in the thread, I use this money management for all of my systems. I keep separate A, B and C lines for all my systems. If one system goes on a bad run and gets heavy, I will just take some money from that systems lines, and add it to my other systems that are doing well. It is a good way to have your systems all support each other... basically so that you do not put all your eggs in one basket. As you have seen, there are many variation of the labby system. I have researched a lot of them, and this is the best one I could come up with, with the help of some others on this thread. Hopefully we can put some wins together here this week.... so far the idea of this system has done well so I look for that trend to continue! Hopefully I have been semi clear... if you still have any questions at all, feel free to shout them out..

I use G's picks from his conservative chase system thread... I use Jm's V1 and V3, ive used jms wnba (all can be found on the 2010 John Morrison mlb system thread)... I use klr systems (can be found if you google klr game changers), I use another guy on this sites system called perfect picks... I use a post all star home system that can be found on covers.com threads.... and I go in and out using a few others... Obviously no system is perfect--All of them have their runs of ups and downs. I am convinced the key to any system is money management. Even great systems that can win 97% of the time, can kill you if you run into a few tough series. Some of the systems I have listed have had a few struggles this summer, but all have a ton of wins to go with their few losses. When using this money management and using all the systems to support each other.. it doesnt allow bad runs to kill your bank roll, but it does allow you to capitalize on your winning streaks.I try to keep my unit size 1% or less for each system... doesnt sound like much, but with a lot of systems going and them all supporting each other, it can help get you started towards making a decent living..

Hopefully I have been semi clear... if you still have any questions at all, feel free to shout them out..
First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to reply. As expected, I do have a couple of questions.
i) Easiest: How do you decide the numbers placed in the lines with respect to how much you want to win in any "set"? Does your A-B-C grid with 4 lines of 50 represent a 600 (50x12) win expectation?
Though I haven't used it in practice, I do understand the "generic labby" (if I may call it that) which deals with one line such as 1-2-3-4-5-6, etc Where each number represents a unit size and you X-out the end numbers with a win and add on with a loss. Got that.
Your variant system uses three (sometimes four?) lines such as
A: 50-50-50-50
B: 50-50-50-50
C/D: 50-50-50-50
To quote you from above:
"If say my lines were at: A line: X 75 75 X B Line: 75 75 75 75 C Line: X 75 75 X..... The great part about this money management is that it is so flexible."
In your example you have the following:
A: X 75 75 X
B: 75 75 75 75
C/D: X 75 75 X
ii) Next question is why do you skip around lines? You have won the first bet on the A line, thus the X on either end. Why is your next bet on the B line instead of the middle two amounts of the A line? Do you not close out eahc line before going to the next? I'm having trouble following the order in which you bet the lines. AS shown above you have won the A line bet and a C line bet. Yes? Why the skipping lines?
iii) And if you win the next bet, you would have:
A: X 75 75 X
B: X 75 75 X
C/D: X 75 75 X
I'm not clear on why you wouldn't have closed out the A line before moving on to B or C.
Let me start with that if it's ok with you and try to work through it after you can help with those.
Thank you.

Was a fun experiment..looks like I may be sticking with my other systems to make up for this systems hick-up.. Thought we were on to something! good luck all on the rest of your season, im going to be moving on... One thing I hope you all saw was the stat above in my previous post... Smart money management is the key to all systems. You can continue this first inning strategy if you would like, by following this MM you may be safe, but I personally feel there are better systems out there to make us all money! Feel free to send me messages any time if you guys have any questions at all about the MM or anything else. Best of luck.

Sure, sorry about that... I will take a look at it later tonight..
