He has an ERA of 3.00 in his last 6 starts. He's pitching better. Davies' ERA is 10.38 in his last 4 starts. He's not pitching well.

I'm not sure I'll be betting this game, because I would hate to take the Royals over the Braves. However, here are scary numbers for you:

In 17 starts at the Ted, Kawakami has won TWO games. When he's bad, he's bad. When he's good, the team doesn't score for him.

On the other hand, Davies is terrible. Maybe the over?

The Braves definitely know Davies since he came up with them. I'm a Braves fan and have no confidence in putting money on Kawakami, but he's gotta win at some point. Bobby Cox also likes to rest alot of the starters on a Sunday and put in the crumb bums, which pisses me off. It's like conceding a game. I'd check the last 4-6 Sundays out to see what the lineup might look like tomorrow.

Atlanta should win this game. Kawakami shouldn't be favored by this much even if they're playing at home. This is the highest he has been favored this season even with his ugly record of wins to losses. The line tells it all that Atlanta will take this one. They're a hot team with plenty of fire power and they have the best home record in the league. If you're concerned about laying the juice on this play try parlaying this team with another one on the moneyline.
