    Fantasy Baseball Angle Shooting on Yahoo

    I will pass on some nice angle shooting to my SBR brothers!

    If you're a baseball junkie like me and enjoy fantasy baseball then this is gold. Atleast if you're halfway decent at it. I've made about $700 the last 2 years with only about $300 invested total. This year I'm in for $540 and counting!

    Join a Yahoo cash league thats nearly full and click on "Join but don't pay"

    Then check all the players ratings & levels (new feature) and see how they stack up? I'm Platinum with a ranking of 836. If many of the players are around my level or a little higher or lower then I back out. If they suck then I pay and play.

    I just joined a $100 league with only 1 guy ranked above me out of 12.

    I came in as the last of 12 with 2 divisions so I knew where I would be.

    Here's my division of 6:

    Me = 836 with a record of 252-143 (62.5%)
    2nd = 738 with a record of 86-75 (53.2%)
    3rd = 672 with a record of 108-126 (46.2%)
    4th = 594 scrub
    5th = 586 scrub
    6th = 570 scrub

    This is for custom leagues only....better way to go because there is no juice from Yahoo. Not to mention whoever is the commissioner (I'm commish for 1 league) usually changes the stats to add in a few crazy ones that novices don't usually factor in.

    I went in a league the other day and paid my money.....then got booted about 10 minutes later. The commish booted me? The commish can do the same angle shooting? You let the guys stay that suck and boot anyone thats any good. Its crazy how they have it set up?

    What are you saying?

    Another angle to take if you find a league with 7-8 spots filled and a few openings. Invite all the scrubs from your other leagues to join. Anyone close to a winning record...ignore them. I'm in $50-$100 leagues where half the league is rated lower then 650. Maybe a few of them are new to fantasy and very sharp but most suck....or don't have the patience to hang for 6 months. Its going to be a rare day when anyone ranked lower then 650 is going beat me over a 6 month period. If you're a baseball junkie then Yahoo is fairly easy to beat.

    I don't follow MLB closely enough to get involved. But it sounds like you've got a great plan--good luck!
