    Baseball Handicapping
In seems like each season there is some new statistic major league baseball throws out to the general public. Obscure statistics like Relief Efficiency Rate may have some use for the the die hard baseball fan but when it comes to baseball handicapping, stats like this have no bearing on judging how well a team will perform.
To be of importance to a baseball handicapper, a stat must be primary useful in determining which team will win or lose the game. Another good example of this is the stolen base. Announcers, fans, historians, and scouts use the stolen base as a way to judge how great a baseball player may be, but in all reality the stolen base has little or no impact on predicting who will win the game. Don't get us wrong there are times when speed is important but MLB baseball handicapping shouldn't waste time factoring miniscule variables like the stolen base to determine the winning team.
When you are handicapping baseball, you should measure whether or not a stat is worth considering by three things. First is this stat something significant enough to winning a baseball game? Does it accurately measure ability vital to determine the outcome of a game? Finally is the stat easy to understand? If the stat doesn't meet all of the preceding criteria throw it out of your mlb handicapping process, its worthless.
If you don't have the time or energy to decipher the relevant and irrelevant stats check out today's baseball picks we have lined up for members.
