you can't hedge that bet. betting either team in the 2nd half means you're still open to lose both bets. thus, no hedge opportunity. a hedge opportunity only exists when you have a chance to bet against your original bet to reduce the overall risk of your original wager.

guys, i havnt seen the forums all day really, not even sure whos picked who or what... but ive studied that game tonight Vikings @ Packers, and i dont know, sure looks like a lopsided beating tonight. ( eagles fan for life case some think i like or favour "the penis") but farve and his pictured shlong are coming home.

do you know what lambeau is too farve? its home, he shined like a star there, look at his records, GB is neutral territory regardless.

take that minny D, i dunno on paper stats the numbers, but i do know what i've seen, and they played some tough opponents compared to the pack. and blitz, blitz, blitz tonight on Rogers. then the stuffing of Adrian Peterson's run up that weak D of greenbay, and throw in moss for another week of getting back to game form, and he's looked damned good. offensive weapons all over the place.

Hedging to me means you bet the other team to get out of the original bet. One bet wins, the other loses, and you are out the juice.

There is also middling. Say you were on Buffalo +13. Take Baltimore -whatever 2nd half, and you are guaranteed to win one of the bets, with a chance to win both bets, if Balt covers 2nd half and Buffalo still covers the game +13.

Then there is our situation. There is no way to limit the Balt -12 risk of losing without taking a bigger risk. Whether you take Balt of Buff for the 2nd half, you risk losing both the 2nd half and the game bet.
