actually im laughing at people like you who always say that guys are paid to mail it in when you lose your bets. give it a break. yeah its a long game and yanks might come back but no need to laugh at me. i gave everyone on this thread a breakdown on how the game was a setup by linemakers but only a couple of people understood what i was typing. maybe its time to start looking at things a little more intuitively and understanding a little more about why lines move and how they are set in certain ways. i know one thing i wont come back here and say dodgers threw the game if they lose now.

LB, how can it be a setup? It's not blackjack, or craps, or anything like that. From my understanding linemakers try to keep their books balanced so they avoid over-exposure. If they "knew" LA'd win, why not keep them a favorite the whole time and bank off the added Yanks bettors, thereby reducing sharp money?

because they knew it would be easy charging some juice on the yanks and making some extra money on them while they were at it. if you know nyy is gonna lose wouldnt you rather have me pay -110 then +104 . on top of that they know people watch betting lines and patterns and many would look at the line and say that yanks are now favored - we better take them. keeping lad a favorite would have been overexposure and made it too obvious to the reasonably sharp guy that lad line isnt moving while everyone is on ny, so lets take lad.

8, Its because they dont have to. They can still get majority of the bettors on NYY with the line they have. Nothing is for sure but, but with the line being -110 for the Yankees with their ace on the mound just is not right. If the yanks were a fav i think people would wonder why and think something is up with the line and maybe stay away.
