DD - Quick heads up that reports are that Marlins' starter, David Phelps, is on a 70-75 pitch limit tonight at Coors. In two starts there he has allowed 11 runs in 9.2 innings. The over is 6-0 when de la Rosa starts at Coors this year (10-5 overall). Totals in his 6 home starts are: 19, 17, 13, 23, 17, and 14.

Thanks, good info. I have Phelps having a 93.1 pitch count average, so knowing that he is on a 70-75 limit is good info. Miami's relievers are fairly well rested, but in Coors anything can happen. I capped the game at 12.4 runs and it will be on my radar for tonight. Thanks again

What's up, Doubledime? Nice thread. But I'm curious about the reliever plays, why no units? Do you just post them but not play them? Or do you play them for a unit each? I do like the reliever angle, it's interesting. Best of luck the rest of the season!

Post #144 explains it best, but it started out as just one tool for handicapping baseball. By All Star break it was hitting nearly 58% combined. (post #702) I never believed in the "unit" thing. Either I feel it's going have a high enough percentage to win or not. Too many times I handicapped a game and I felt "all the stars were aligned just perfect" only to have it lose, so I personally play the same on all, but that is a personal preference. I hope that answers your question.

I had some time today so I thought I would share some info on a game tonight which I will be playing the under. This (below) is from another site and I just copied and pasted it so I am not sure how it's going to come out when I post it. This is just some of the information I look at before I post a regular play. This particular game has the wind blowing out at 8MPH but I think they will retract the roof because it over 90 degrees. I am trying to find out if they plan to do that. The Air Density Index is 65 which is neutral. The ump is slightly to the over but not enough, IMHO to make a difference. In the last 7 games these 2 teams are a combined 2-12 to the under. The relievers are rested (only pitched a total of 15 pitches combined yesterday) and the starters are decent. Finally, the ballpark is a slight under park. I just thought I would share this information. Back soon with the plays

Min/TB over just missed being an over Reliever Play, however, there is an under ump working home today. No opinion on Cle/NYY other than weather favoring the over.
