#4378Thanks for the support fellas.Glad the thread is staying alive. It's one of the few I feel comfortable in. Get to think about tommorrow all night. Gotta cover a Graveyard shift for a co worker. Tommorrow, we start getting even. BTW, did you catch TA's posts in shits&giggles? Tailed him on Ole Miss this afternoon and got a little back.

#4389I believe TB will win another game this season, but not one of these. I just don't see any gas left in the TB bullpen. Maddon's decision making is suspect also.Comment -

#4390Game 1 - CC Sabathia is 4-0 with a 2.21 ERA in his last 5 starts. Granted he's struggled against the Rays this year in 2 starts (0-1, 5.93 ERA), but I believe he's due for a good game against them. In the bullpen Aceves is rested as well as Rivera after not pitching for 5 days due to a sore groin. Hughes may also see some action.
Matt Garza is 0-1 with a 6 ERA in his last 5 starts. Against NYY he's 0-1 with a 2.84 ERA in 3 starts. Jeter, Cano, and Swisher are the only Yankees who can hit him. I have to believe they'll see Balfour and Wheeler which they don't always hit that great either.
Note: NYY have only lost the series opener at home 4 times this season.
Prediction: Yankees ML -175 | Under 9 | TB: 3 NYY: 5
I'll post my thoughts for game 2 this afternoon.Comment -

#4392Sweet. Thanks for the reply fellas. My thinking is exactly the same...can't trust TB right now, and they have a tough week ahead of them, while the Yankees are rolling.Comment -

#4393VegasPlayer, be careful with the NYY RL in game 1 because both starters might not give up many runs. I'd definitely consider it for game 2 because Sonnanstine is making only his second start since being recalled from AAA. He pitched 4 innings and 91 pitches against Boston which won't be very good against a patient team like NY who has hit him well in the past.Comment -

Sabathia won't give up more than 2 runs in the first 5 innings and if he gets into any trouble at all, it will be later in the game when he begins to lose a little control. I'm not sure how Garza will pitch in his first 5 innings. I'd lay off the 5 innings total.Comment -

#4410Boston/Chicago White Sox - Over 8½
Buehrle throws too many strikes for the Red Sox lineup. The only way he'll have some success is if he gets the corners in the strike zone. Beckett has an 8.05 ERA giving up 9 HRs in his last 3 starts. He just looks fatiguted lately. Dye, Pierzynski, and Konerko will hammer those fastballs and hanging sliders. Boston's pen hasn't looked great either especially Ramon Ramirez and Hideki Okajima.
Boston - ML
The Red Sox have a 5-0 Team Start Record when Beckett pitches against Chicago. On the other hand, Chicago is 6-7 with Buehrle on the hill. A 1.47 WHIP is too high against Boston especially with Bay, V-Mart, and Ortiz.
Trends: BECKETT: 11-1 TSR (Team Start Record) as a road favorite of -125 to -150.Comment
