Is Philadelphia aware they are playing the Nats or did they check out on their season as well? Philly!! Here we go, 2 runs top of 4th.

John Laanan is a good pitcher and even held the Yankees to 2 runs in 8.1 innings and the Red Sox to 3 over 6.1. He just pitched 8 and 2 against the Cards a couple of starts ago. It seems like he does better against better competition. He does have some talent.

Generally there are 2 options:
1) Listed pitchers means just that (at least one pitch thrown), otherwise no action.
2) Action, which means if there is a pitching change you still have action with what ever the opening price is with the new pitcher(s).

Bumgarner in for Lincecum. SF -150. Double A call up from Conn. Sally League MVP last year in Georgia. Pitching well in AA, but there is a note on some lost velocity lately.


Any thoughts on the Giants guys? My take is that they'll limit this kids pitch count/innings and go to the pen as long as he doesn't look skittish. Believe, this is his 1st MLB start. I like the guys press and numbers in the minors, but I'll wait an hour or so to hear from you all. I'm leaning towards it, but I hate these late season prices. Cmon hockey & hoops. 'm even ready for some football.

I am using BM, but just wasn't smart enough to use the listed-pitchers option while I was place my wager, so now it says Action.

SF is 7-3 in their last 10.
SF @ 45-21 still has the best NL record at home.
SF has a combined .324 batting average against Correia.
SD has the worst offense in the league at 3.90 runs per game.
SD is only 13-9 as an underdog in Correia's starts.

SF has the second worst offense in the NL.
Correia is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in 2 starts against SF.


Things can't be all that bad.
